To anybody who is considering any dealings whatsover with this man or any of his associated companies...DON'T.
He has a long reputation for ripping off people on the Gold Coast, including myself who he took for $50k. I know off at least 2 other people who he took for $100k and $200k respectivly.
He will talk about investment opportunities for which he can form syndicates to raise money and he activly looks for businesses who are in trouble or people who are desperate. (Typical conman).
He has an ex-wife and kids who were living in rental accomodation in Arundle, and a girlfriend who he spends most of his time with in Labrador. Both these women seem to activly defend him even though he lives with both of them??? Every word that comes out of this fat bastards mouth is a lie. He has no compunction about stealing money from anybody no matter how much this hurts them.
Despite making complaints to the police, fair trading, ASIC, and the media, nobody seemed interested in following it up. Legal advice suggested that it would cost too much money for me to persue when in all likelyhood any assets this arsehole has would be in the name of one of the two women in his life. He was operating through a solicitor based in Robina to add some credibility to his actions. This person was well aware of the large number of people chasing Mr Smith for money, but still continued to act on his behalf.
Anybody who has had any dealings with this man, please report it to the police, media, in fact anybody who will listen, and let's bring the b*****d down.
