I called to have my 43" hati fixed. I spoke with someone that was hard to understand. A repairman came out and looked and said I needed a lens. That was back in June o5. I called again. They said they were waiting for approval. They connected me to the so called cooperate office where I would get the approval. Twice I was sent to non existing and cut off. I sent and e-mail and it was returned with a apology and a number and it told me to ask for the manager.

I called and asked another hard to understand Indian put me Through the ringer with hold ons and please hold the line and finally put me in touch with supposedly the cooperate office. By the way I asked for the number for the cooperate office and they said they could only put me in touch. I was put in touch to a recording that played for and I am not exaggerating one hour. I just called today to make another service call. I was told that it was now under the service center warranty and to call them. I told them I didn't have a contract with the service center I had it with circuit city and for them to set up what had to be done. Another appointment was made I was given a HR506210090 number and the phone number of of the service center 1-800-448-3997 and was told they would get back to me in two work-in days. I have yet to speak with a English speaking person I think the calls are rerouted to India.

I hope the information at http://www.walklightly.org/circuit_city.htm helps you. It gives corporate contact information and agencies/orgs to file complaints with. Also, I have had resolutions with Circuit City myself by contacting their legal counsel: Anna Marie Henderson Circuit City Legal Counsel [email protected] Fax: (804) 418-8248

You know, I am so upset about what is not happening with the warranty service that was purchased with confidence from Circuit City on a 43"Hitachi HDTV that I failed to use a spell checker on an update. I apologies to the person who felt it necessary to critique my grammer and sentence structure. I know you come before me. To stand behind me and, write to me about something you know nothing about. I would also like to thank Andy for his comments. I don't know of any other option to constructively ask for assistance without making idle threats or adding to a already negative situation. I am just asking if anyone has a phone number or a e-mail address for CC in Virgina would be appreciated. I need to bypass the outsourced customer service that does nothing to bring the situation to a conclusion by having my warranty repairs taken care of. Perhaps the person that complained of my use of English could help me draft a letter using proper spelling and sentence structure. They should Itemizing my complaints in a from that would be direct to the point and convey my rancor with the way things are. This astute letter would be appreciated.

You really need to step back and remember why this site has been created, to give people an outlet, your negative, pedantic critiques of contributor's postings is counterproductive and creates an atmosphere unconducive to problem resolution. My suggestion is that you enjoy the site and make appropriate comments where you have had similar experiences but steer away from scrutinizing postings looking for spelling and grammar mistakes. Maybe you could volunteer some time at a credit counseling agency since you know everything about banking, or teach ESL to recently arrived migrants since your English is perfect, the possibilities are endless!

A guy complains about someone else who can't "speak" English. The complainer cannot WRITE in English. What is a "hati"? What's an "Apliane unlimiter"? I'll guess "repaires" is actually repairs. "Steped" is stepped. "Warenty" is warranty. "Coud" is could. "Begining" is beginning. "Coperate" is corporate. I am not making fun of you Frank. When you choose to slam someone for their lack of language skills, make sure you have your ducks "in line" as they say.

Well its the end of Sept. 05. I called the Ameriacan Appliance number the Indians gave me one again. This is around the tenth time. The Cus. Rep. put me intouch with the managers mail box which was full. I called back and said the managers mail box is full there has to be a e-mail address I can write to so CC will approve the fixing of my TV. She gave me the run around. She said the manager steped away from his desk, but he is always away from his desk I said. I just got a renewal bill for continued warenty from CC 2 years $312.69 and it says a sound alternative to costly repairs.. I was wondering if anyone coud tell me would I be a fool to renew? I been trying since the begining of June 05 to get my TV fixed. Does anyone have a coperate CC e-mail address or phone number, non indian I can call? Something has to be done to this company.

As a former CC manager I cann tell you that when dealing with a customer service issue the odds of getting anyone outside of India are slim. Since Circuit City refuses to believe the corportation is doing anything wrong, they keep cost cutting. Complaints were outsourced. Ordering items by phone was outsourced. All in an effort to save a buck. Richmond even got rid of their 800 number!!! Almost any 800 number cc gives you is outsourced. I used to love having people who had never stepped foot in ANY cc store telling us what we should do. just try to explain it to them... and have them repeat alot too.
