Made full payment of $1,488.95 on June 23, 2001, four days before my contract for 6 months no pay/same-as-cash before it expire on June 27, 2001.

The payment was received on 06/30/01 as Tran, but it wasn' t posted until July 1, 2001. Deferred finance charges of $175.67 applied to the account, occurring a daily periodic rate of 0.06299 %.

Disputed the charges 07/31/02, Stating it did not take 7 to 10 days for a 1st class mail to be delivered, and it only took 2 to 3 days for the mail delivery.

Payment was posted on 06/29/01. I Spoke to a representative, and send a fax that I wasn' t satisfied with their decision.

I conversed serveral times over the phone with the Vice President at Temple, AZ., to remove finance charges. I was told to submit a document to show support of my dispute.

Upon receiving a document from the Consumer Affairs & Claim from the U.S. Postal Services, Oakland, CA. I faxed a copy to the VP., and one to the attention of Dispute Dept. $29.00 was adjusted.

Recieved a letter referring me to Wilmington, Delaware, to send any additional new document. Now being threated to collection agency or contacting an attorney in my area.

Dear Owen. After reading your complaint, I'm truly amazed by your logic. First of all 06/23/2001 was a Saturday. So for the sake of argument lets say you went to the Post Office first thing Saturday morning with payment envelope in hand. In a percfect world, with the Postal Service at its optimum performance, your payment would reach Citifinancial on Tues 06/26/01 at the earliest. Now that leaves less than 24 HOURS for processing and posting. If they posted your payment on 07/01/2001, I think the company processed your payment rather quickly. Guess what Owen, I do believe you played the classic game of Beat the Clock and time ran out. Period. Dont take this personally. I think you're more more angry at yourself for waiting so long to send in the payment. Citifnancial owes you nothing. You made an expensive maistake. Chalk it up under lessons learned.
