City Of Prichard Detective Division ripoff murder case bungled, evidence lost and misplaced Prichard Alabama
My daughter was taken from her home, along with her 2yo.child. She was shot several times with the child as a witness. Prior to being shot she was struck in the head twice, the last blow crushing her skull. She expired in surgery.
As a mother I wanted to see justice done. Subsequently the maintenence man was charged. I can't say he didn't commit the crime but there was a witness who saw her ex-boyfriend just prior to her death with the child in his arms.
The police were given this person's name and address but to this day no one has spoken to this person. My daughter and myself were duped by the mobile prosecuting attorney who led us to believe some of questions would finally be answered.
We ended up in a plea hearing, with maintenance man, no family support, no warning. I was dumb struck. When asked if he wanted to change his plea to guilty instead of not guilty, this man stated at least twice no, until his attorney a public defender who had informed us the man had confessed to him that he had commited the murder leaned over and whispered in his ear he finally said yes.
I as a mother felt robbed because at least at a trial I would get some kind of understanding as to why my daughter had been slaughtered. We have spoken to district attorney Tyson who promised to get back in touch with us and if nothing else let us look at the files. tTat was back in may.
I've called several times and left messages for Mr. Tyson but to no avail. I feel this is a gross miscarriage of justice and I want every one to know. Thank you so for having a place to make my feelings known. I will be glad to speak to any media.
