During the Spring of 2009 I had occasion to consult with the maker of my printer, Epson, as to the status of a malfunction in my printer. They couldn't help me on-line and suggested that I take my unit to their loical factory authorized repair facility in Boise, CK Technologies. I called them first to let them know that my ink jet nozzles needed a thorough cleaning and to ask what that would cost. They told me approximately $35.00. So, I took the unit in and left it their for repair. A week later, after calling several times to determine the status of the repair, I was put to the Service Manager to hear the news that they didn't want to do the cleaning. I had installed new ink cartridges for their benefit in testing the unit as per their instructions but they wanted to convince me to just throw out the unit rather than clean it as they wouldn't do the cleaning. So, I picked up my printer and was given an invoice for $75. I protested saying I'd been quoted $35 to have the nozzles cleaned. They didn't care and said their normal "bench charge" was $75.00.
They turned me into collections so I paid rather then do damage to my credit and/or reputation. If I ran my business this way I'd lose my customers in a week.
AVOID THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WISH TO GET RIPPED OFF!!! THEY WILL TELL YOU ONE THING AND THEN DO ANOTHER, OR RATHER DO NOTHING AND CHARGE YOU ANYWAY!! Then, the threatening begins.
I always try to give my business to local businesses but, in this case, NEVER AGAIN.
