My wife and I bought a home from the same folks -- they made countless promises about quality and how they had the "best set-up folks" in the business. Was Eddie the General Manager? We bought in July 2002, and our home was so thoroughly screwed up we were homeless for three months. Finally got to move in our home in October, and then we had 5 or 6 water leaks. CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report. Rip-off Report has a policy of checking out links before allowing them to post for your protection, CLICK AND READ MORE.. The website's for a book I wrote based on our Clayton Home experiences, and other horror stories from different manufacturers I've learned about. It also has lots of consumer links for manufactured housing. My e-mail address (Wes) is on the page. You can read about what Eddie and Katherine put my wife and I through (the short version, anyway). And I would like to talk to you about legal recourse. In SC, you have 3 years from the date of the sale to take them to court, and we plan to. Our $97,000 dream home was a nightmare! Please e-mail us, and maybe we can help each other!
