If you are considering an off-frame modular home, do yourself a favor and skip these folks.  They will lie to you at every oportunity.  They will promise to fix issues that they never address and you will find quite a bit that hasn't been installed properly.  In my case it's the HVAC/heat pump system.  After just a little over a year in the home the fan (inside) is rusting and water stands inside the heat pump closet.  They came out, looked at it, agreed it shouldn't be happening and then-did absoultely nothing.  I took pictures of the unit into our facilities manager at work who is taking a course with the north carolina state board of examiners.  He took my pictures in to show them, everyone agreed it was a prime example of how NOT to install a system to code.  Every time I call, I am told they are going to take care of it, but never do.  I've been waiting 7 months.  There are a lot of little things that they never fixed, but this is a big one...and will be high dollar to get reinstalled properly.  If you are going to spend that kind money on an off frame modular-do it with a reputable company that will stand by their product. Don't take my word for it.  Do a google search and see for yourself how many people are unhappy with their home.

Clayton Homes contacted me to come and look at the system and agreed to replace it. The manager of Clayton Homes explained that he thought that it was being taken care of, which is why he didn't answer my email or phone calls.   They came out today with a brand new system removed the old one and replaced it with a new one.  They added safeguards to make sure it didn't leak again.  I was happy they were so willing to help and very thankful to Ripoff report for helping us reach a settlement.
