On Monday, October 31st, I came home from work and checked my mail and received a letter from Clearing House North America telling me that I was the grand prize winner of the 2005 annual Clearing House Sweepstakes drawing. The also stated that the total amount of my "winnings" was $750,000 (US dollars).

The letter also stated that to get my winnings, I would need to contact Mr. Kenneth Bond at 1-866-582-1989 ext. 1 or 1-416-507-9812. I contacted him on November 1st and he told me that there would be a charge of $2900 to cover the insurance for sending that amount of money. I told him that I did not have that kind of money and he stated that he would send me a check to cover that. He told me that once I received the check, I was to call him before I deposited it to my bank. Then he would contact the party who would be cutting the check to inform them to allow it to be deposited. After that, I would be receiving the full lump sum of $750,000 via Brinks Armored Car.

I received the check the next Saturday and called Mr. Bond and left a message stating I received the check. I did not hear anything from him. I called and left messages with him and with Mr. Owen Burns (supposedly an IRS agent) The number for him is 1-866-576-4690 or 1-416-507-9710. When I called that number, I got an automated voice prompt stating that all U.S. Customs agents were busy helping others.

So I figured I would google this company to see whether or not it was legit. I saw this and it made me furious because I am getting sick and tired of being ripped off and lied to. I am a hard working man who is struggling to make ends meet and I have entered several sweepstakes to see if I could win some money to help.

If any lawyers see this, I want to file a class action lawsuit against this company and those two men. The way I see it, they owe me and everyone else who they tricked with this scam $750,000 each.
