Laundry cards are issued at my apartment. The only amount one is "allowed" to load card with is $50. After doing a couple of loads of laundry, the card stops working. Therefore, each load ends up costing about $25.00 instead of $2.00. When I called the company, they told me I had to send them a bank statement to prove I had loaded the money on my card, and can only reimburse me for $20. They have stolen at least $100, since I have loaded the card 3 times ($150) and done about 12 loads ($24) of laundry in total. This company is based in Irving, Texas, and they use an answering service, so there is no accountability to consumers within the actual company whatsoever.
