My daughter was the victim of a stalker and one of those police departments was involved, along with another. We got the same run around that you are getting. The matter was resolved when we bypassed all of the local yokels and made a complaint to the governor's office. Consequently, a Texas Ranger (that doesn't play baseball) was assigned to the case. He dealt with the local yokels, forcing them to file and act on the charges. After a $300,000 bail, which the stalker couldn't make, he got 10 years. Go straight to the Rangers and have this taken care of.

Somehow I doubt very seriously that this is all of the story. The State of Texas has a Law that the Police shall/can make an arrest if they see no signs of visible injurys(since 1985). They(Police/Sheriff) cannot drop charges nor can you. Its up to the DA's office. The State files the case not you. So this is why this story is truly hard to beleive. Oh, regardless if he had the house before you were married/living together its both yours now. The police cannot make anyone of you leave. So all of the Police Dept is corrupt because of this? I doubt very seriously. Call the DA's office and express you concern or just LEAVE HIM! Protective order has nothing to do with whether or not you have a UCW charge on you or not. READ IT. Obviously you have spent time at Shelters and THAT TO is hard to believe noone was a Liason with the DA's office on such matters. Sound like you have been with him for awhile and want the POLICE/DA'S office to give you answers where it seems in your complaint that you choose not to leave him. I guess he Kidnapped you across State lines to Indiana. Quit wasting Law Enforcement's Time and Resources and do your part. after all you married him.
