COLONIAL VAN LINES RELOCATION DIVISION THEY LIE - THEY ARENT A MOVING COMPANY - THEY ARE A BROKER FOR FRIEGHT MARGATE Florida
This company responded after a google serach for moving and storage comapnies. I was on an extremely tight schedule - at the end of the month - to get out of an apartment - and relocate 2000 miles away fro a new job - i had to either be there to start or lose it! They called - I spoke to a very nice woamn - explained the time frame - she put me on hold - checked with their dispatcher - we can do it - but because its towards the end of the month - you need to lock in your spot on the van - they asked for a down payment - i went to UPS - they faxed the signature pages to lock in the agreement - i was told they would be there between the 5th - 15th - I hit the road. a day later i was told they had a challenge to load by months end - i told them they need to get the stuff out as my lease was up. 2 days later i told them to move it to storage - they had NONE - it was then i realized they werent a moving comapny -- i tried to cancel - i was told i would lose my deposit - and they would handle it - the contract stated delivery between the 5th - 15th - they showed up 11 days late - and offered me $270 to cover 11 days of hotels while i waited for my stuff!!
