I am not thinking about a career with Combined Insurance, I am thinkging about the career I had with Combined Insurance. I would still be with the company had the US not been divided into 15 Divisional Offices, therefore, my Regional Office was closed. I did not know about this type of non-sense of a website to post frustrations and ugliness about people.
I am so shock at the behavior of you people that write these things about Combined Insurance and the staff they have hired. Does it sound like I am defending them, you betcha! I have read some of the complaints, and all I can say is WOW!
I was with the company for (6) years and as any job has it , I too had challenges. We all do if we want to learn and move forward. I worked with Charlie Wolfe, he was my Regional Manager at the time and I ran the Columbia, South Carolina office. I enjoyed what I did and I truly miss working with the terrific people locally, divisionally and nationally.
I worked with some of the best people that I have ever met. They had the mindset of someone that worked hard for what they had and wanted to share that with others to help them be successful as well. I traveled as well when we would have meetings in various locations and loved it, because it gave me a chance to be creative with the setup of the meeting area and to see my team of my sub-regional, my district managers and agents. Each time that we would get together, I would always learn something new, because I WANTED too!
I could go on an on, but the end result is, I had a great opportunity with Combined Insurance and without them, I would not have been able to provide the things for my son and myself as I did. So to those of you that have been so ugly and do not have the mindset to do what it take to be successful and work hard for it, I shame you.
Respectfully through P.M.A,
the former RSA for Charlie Wolfe,
Kimberly Rodriguez

All I have to say is you should do some more digging on this website because there is quite a few customer complaints about claims not being paid and people not knowing why they got denied. There are also a lot of customer complaints about agents that dont know very much about the policies; could be because the school doesn't like to talk about the policies, they like to memorize scripts and chants.

This guy's story is very accurate. I was a sales manager for combined. Won a honorary diamond award my first month. Won a trip for 2 to the lake of the ozarks. All of the rest of the awards in a few months including a gold goblet. I worked very long hours sometimes 12- 15 a day. I did make good money but not for the hours I put in. I was the number one sales agent in the state of Minnesota for almost three months. I eventually got burned out and tried to slow down and just renew policies and not sale for a couple weeks. Anyway the head honcho manager from our state of Minnesota came down and took me to lunch. Then he laid into me about net selling new policies. " IS THIS A F**KING JOKE TO YOU? YOUR JOB IS TO SELL NEW POLICIES!!!!" AND HE WENT ON AND ON. Anyway after everything I had done for this company and get treated like a peice of crap slave I never went back to work. I received many calls and letters pleading me to come back but I'm not a fool. WORD OF ADVICE: "get out now". You are their slave and if you dont sell you are worthless to them. By the way I didn't receive 90% of all the prizes I won and that were promised me. Sorry but Combined insurance is a huge scam. Your better off selling AMWAY. If you have any questions please email me. I will send you a picture with my Combined Ins. Diamond award plaque If y0ou don't believe me. S.A.

I agree with everything this guy said... And i'm surprised he didn't use more profanity. History: Charlie Wolf was my regional manager back when I worked with Combined in South Carolina. You want to know what Combined is all about, search RipOff for Combined Insurance again and find the Myrtle Beach/Conway post... That guy got it dead on. ';0) O and for anyone who want's to respond to "me"... Or say that i'd be better off flippin burgers or that I didn't have what it took... Just flip to the back of one of your weekly incentive books and take a gander at the all-time record breakers... Just know that 2 of those records are mine. For anyone looking at Combined as a potential job... Look elsewhere quickly, even if it means giving yourself whiplash.. Then Run in the other direction, preferably towards a broker... There are plenty out there and there's no reason not to TRULY work for yoruself in the insurance industry, don't believe the lies.

Thanks for your reply, potty-mouth! From you inability to type without using foul language, let's me know you're rich, 'cause you won the lottery, not due to any actual work. There's class - and then there's always an a**. And BTW, have you noticed the only people filing reports on Ripoffreport.com are EX employees - NOT policyholders???? Hey, some people aren't cut out for this type of work. Nothing to be ashamed of. Anyways, whereabouts in Roanoke. Moved from there in May of '02

No anne, see I have money already and can afford to drop these assholes. Unfortunately it seems you can't. And no, I wasn't fired, I told them to kiss my a*s. Now, you say you made around $750 last week, good for you. I make that without even working, so don't think you are rich. $750/week sucks just so you know.

I typed a rebuttal yesterday evening (no foul language, followed their terms of service . . . guess it wasn't hateful and foul enough) . . . the bottom line is - you couldn't do the job, because you believe PMA is hogwash. Without a positive mental attitude, everything you do and touch in life, will most assuredly s*ck (but you have probably found this out by now). Clement Stone, the founder, was nominated for a Nobel Prize. YOU? You're probably still moaning and whining about why you haven't made anything of your life, right? WOW, what a surprise! @@ A lot has changed with Combined, and continues to change. Ardmores and 12 hour days are non-existent. New test models are springing up. But the bottom line . . . no one can make you do anything unethical. You should have contacted the big wigs in Chicago, if you felt agents and/or managers were being dishonest. My guess is, your lazy butt was fired and this is your way of paying them back. Well, I'm sure this rebuttal won't get posted either. But . . . not to fret. I'll just spend my $734 I made last week (sorry . . . yes, it was a slow week for me). Anne
