I have had an on going issue with several different problems with my Comcast service since we first got it back September 4, 2008. I have been given the run around, various stories and explanations, have had excuses. When I ask to speak to a manager I am told they will have to send an email to one and they will call me back. No one ever does. I have written them several emails with no results. Only one phone service rep. has ever been nice. She can only do so much. They have not found out what is wrong with my modem/internet/phone. They have blamed it on all but themselves. I have several ongoing problems with my service anywhere from internet suddenly not working right after they supposedly upgraded it, service not installed properly to begin with, compatibility issues they never told me about, phone service not working right, phone reps lying to me, managers not calling back, techs not showing up for appointment and claiming they did, dispatch setting appointment and not notifying me so I could be there, sending techs out for the wrong service calls, techs claiming there is no problem with any of the internet, cable or phone signals...yet phone techs were on my cell phone with me when I reported problem and they at that moment in time clearly saw a problem, the tech coming out acting like it was my imagination, tech telling me I did not need a virus protection because I was fire walled and had a Gateway for wireless internet and that was enough protection, one tech came and told me whoever installed our triple play had installed wrong. That there was too many splitters and there was an unexplained feed going out of our home that shouldn't be there.... Also we are given all sorts of credit...but we want our service working right instead. There are many more problems...just too many to write.

I had a scheduled appointment with Comcast again today between 12pm and 2pm. to come and replace my modem that a phone rep. told me they needed to replace to narrow down and find the problem I was having. Seeing that they supposedly had already monitored outside cables and had not found problem or reason for my modem shutting down several times by itself. They called it an intermittent problem, and felt that the reason I might be having problems with internet and phone also acting up was because of faulty modem. When the tech did not show up by end of scheduled appt. I called Comcast and they told me he says he was here at 12:30pm and fixed problem but I wasn't home. I asked how he was supposed to have fixed the problem if I supposedly hadn't been home to let him in to replace the modem. They say he was on a phone service call and checked the outside lines and there was no problem. I was upset at this point because we had already gone through this before with another appointment. They have messed up several appointment for wrong service calls. They don't have the managers call me like I have requested. Instead they reschedule my appointment and never call and tell me they did and for what date and time. Therefor I don't know about the appointment and haven't been here. I find out afterward. Then end up having to call, reexplain it all and have to try and get them to fix it. So this time when I asked them to give me a time I also asked that the tech call to let me know he was on his way. I never received the call, I was here when he supposedly came. He never called or knocked on my door. I told all this to the phone rep. he put me on a long hold and finally came back and said they couldn't get in touch with the tech that had been here and I was just going to have to wait and talk to him. I told him no I wasn't and that I wanted to speak to a manager. After a long wait they finally got one on the phone who immediately was on the defensive. I tried to tell the manager that I was home when the tech claimed to have been there, and what the reason the tech was supposed to have actually been there for. She gave me run around and excuses. She told me that he was just there to monitor and check the outside lines, that it was a phone service troubleshooting call and that he had found nothing wrong. I told her no, that when I set up the appointment the phone rep assured me that it was set up as an inside troubleshooting call and that they were to replace my modem because they had already checked outside lines and now felt that the modem needed to be replaced to help narrow down what might be the problem. She argued with me. She was uncaring and would not listen. She obviously had not looked at the long history of trying to get the problem fixed. She kept making excuses. I was told that the dispatcher was having a hard time reaching the tech that had been to my home. That the tech would call me back and speak to me. I was also told by the manager she would call me back in 30 minutes. I still have not received a call from anyone. It has been close to 2 1/2 hours now.
