I received an email about a HYIP site and joined, even though it sounded too good to be true! They announced a special that was only good until October 30th. On October 30th it was then extended until November 5th.
The first alarm went off once I visited the home page and it said I had to spend $100 at Liberty Reserve before receiving my bonus or profits. The second alarm went off 48 hours later when I requested my referral commissions be sent to my Liberty Reserve account and it remained pending. The third alarm went off when I checked this site and found a report for CommerceBarter.com instead of .org. Most people don't pay attention to the site extension; .com, .net, .org, they are all the same to some folks.
I contacted the account owner (U7309086) at Liberty Reserve where the $100 was suppose to go asking them how to transfer the $100 to their account once I received my referral commissions and their response was a copy/paste of the information from the Commerce Barter home page.
I requested information from Admin using my regular email account and using their support system on their site with no response at all. When I visited the site again, I noticed that a banner was missing that was suppose to monitor the HYIP sites. When I visited the site, it was down.
I'm just glad that I'm smart enough to realize that referral commissions are not considered a bonus or profit from investments!
I decided to check out the other HYIP sites that were listed on the home page of CommerceBarter.org. The WhoIs information created a major alarm! That information is located below the email in this report.
