Compliance Services Poses as Gov't agcy to file Corp Annual Minutes form(Names of officers, etc.) $125 fee. No such agency, scam!!! Tallahassee Florida
I am an officer in a small FL corporation and was recently mailed documentation regarding a statement of "Annual Minutes". They provided a form/statement(CS Form Min-FL13)requiring our corp to disclose shareholders' names & percentages, names & titles of corp officers, contact person and phone no. They also requested a fee of $125 to process this information and send back some kind of official confirmation - completed documents which I never received.
They call themselves Compliance Services and they target Corporations in various states. The form letter looked extremely official-citing laws which require all FL corporations to submit this information. It even had a key code at the top and our Corp ID#. Even the paper on which it was typed seemed so authentic!
I didn't think twice about it until I got another pkg. in the mail a week ago with the same exact information inside. I emailed them to tell them I had already mailed in the check and payment. But by some twist of fate, the e-mail was returned - undeliverable. Then, trying to find a legitimate email address, I stumbled across a website exposing this as a scam. There is no such state agency, there is no fee required to submit the annual minutes, and there is no state requirement to even submit the annual minutes!! I got taken.
