Conceptual Mindworks Government contractor scammers San Antonio Texas
Conceptual Mindworks is a minority owned business who is scraping by. In 2003, one of their recruiters called me about a government contract they were bidding on for Brooks City Base. The recruiter presented the job responsibilities and requirements. I explained to the recruiter that I was not qualified for some of the requirements and needed training to become qualified. The recruiter stated she understood and that Conceptual Mindworks would be willing to provide the necessary training.
After a month of not hearing anything from the recruiter, I called and emailed several times on the status of the contract bid. The recruiter did call after a couple of weeks to schedule an interview. I felt things weren't going right when the recruiter started the interview 30 minutes late. The interview seemed to go ok. Later in day, the recruiter asked for an electronic copy of my resume in Word format.
That was the last time I had any communication with the recruiter. I called several times but I was told that the recruiter was out of the office visiting Brooks City Base or she was on another line. She never called me back even though I left messages with the receptionist.
I believe Conceptual Mindworks exploited my credentials to get their Air Force contract and didn't have any intention of hiring me.

If you feel that they used you as a part of their bid to the Government, you can request a copy of the bid documents via the FOIA. FirstGov.gov has information on using the FOIA or you can contact the base contracting office. They will not send you information regarding bid amounts, but they should be able to provide you with key employees that were used as a part of any bid document. Good luck.

"I'm not qualified and I need additional training". I didn't get hired. I wonder why. The first one was a recruiter. They'll tell you just about anything. If you felt things weren't going right, they probably weren't. If as you say, the company is scraping by, it was probably best that you didn't get the job.
