Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Conn's Since 1890 or Con Artists Since 1890?

Please be aware of the underlying parasites that are not being acknowledged as role players this descending economy. These companies are overlooked because they are not requesting government bailout assistance nor are they notoriously mentioned on the daily news channels as culprits in our failing economy.

Companies, such as Conn's Since 1890, use underlying methods to rape the consumers. Before making any major purchases, please ask your salesperson to define the 15% restocking fee in detail.

There is a 15% restocking fee on all merchandise that is not in a factory sealed box unless merchandise has completely failed within 24 hrs of receiving the item or is sold as an open box item.

Please pay close attention to the factory sealed portion because if you decide to even peek in the box of the purchaseditem you have activated the 15% restocking fee. This is fee is supposedly due to customers not wanting to pay full price for an opened box item. This could possibly be understand if the item was resold with a 15% discount, but this is not the case. The items are resold for at a price designated by the store. If you want to return a $2700 purchase to Conn's Since 1890 the next day with some of the wrapping missing either be prepared to walk out the store with the item or a $400 loss. So the fate of the customer is predetermined and big business will always prevail. Either you pay them 15% and walk out with absolutely nothing or you walk out the store with everything you walked through the door with.

If you make the same mistake I made, please don't bother to call the corporate office or speak to a manager because all of the employees are trained well and are paid commission, so they lack sympathy and crave money even positioned at the bottom of the salary ladder.

Consumers, I can only warn you in the way I wish someone would have warned me. Please review all return policies on major purchases prior to giving anyone your hard earned money. When a company is willing to charge you $400+ for tape and plastic missing from a box and you still walk out with empty hands, ask yourself is this a place where you really want to give your money too? The name Conn's Since 1890 and cheap blazers worn by the employees should have said enough. With the abundance of consumer pimping going on, please take the time to protect your money.
