Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Unfortunately I made the mistake of purchasing an expensive show horse thru Cooper Evans and Candice Monson and they were very deceptive. Since I have contacted them on many occasions to try and resolve this and they have refused to respond, I have no recourse and feel it very important for others to know of their shenanigans. When this process began I was exceedingly honest with Cooper and Candice about the fact that I had recently come thru a life threatening cancer operation called "the Whipple" which had a huge mortality rate and that has left me with too many deficiencies to discuss here. That surgery was followed by a triple hernia surgery, and so I stressed to both Cooper and Candice that I needed a simple, safe, kind, easy to ride horse that could be my new partner. They both assured me that this was the horse for me. I didn't need strong legs, he was dog gentle, they put children on him, he was great out on the trail, etc.

There were a few things they left out like he requires a very strong rider with very strong legs to be able to ride him. I can not. The said he was slow moving, he is not. They said he was easy to show-- I have Paint professionals that have communicated with me that they had to lunge and lunge him until he was exhausted to be able to show him. They added that his head was elevated and he looked like he was going to explode at any minute. After I wired the funds to purchase the horse I had to ask and ask, week after week, that his papers be sent to me. It took months to receive the papers and when they arrived they were carelessly protected and damaged from water. There were also no signed transfers for his Pinto papers so I am still to this day not able to register him. I have contacted the prior owner several times and she has not sent the signed transfer either.

I am an animal lover and my horse is my greatest joy in life. I have no family left anymore and having a wonderful relationship with my horse is my greatest blessing. This is not a bad horse, but he has been clearly intimidated by someone in his past, I don't know whether this was Cooper and Candice or not. This is a horse that with the right owner could be very good, but the right owner is not an older woman with serious physical limitations, and they knew that clearly. Shame on them for not doing the right thing for the customer or the animal. My calls, texts, etc. have completely gone unanswered even when I begged them to stand behind this horse and help me get him into the right hands. I have lost a great deal of money with this transaction, but my two primary objectives now are to ensure the welfare of the animal and ensure that anyone that does business with these two in the future realize how they operate.

I have had 3 other horse training professionals ride and evaluate the horse and they all agreed that he is not at all suitable for me and should have been sold to a very strong and capable rider. So buyer beware.. you can not trust what either of these people tell you. Do a great deal of diligence before you give them one hard earned cent because once they have your money, they will kick you to the curb without hesitation or coinscience. Very sad that the horse industry has such un-principled operators that stand poised to rip you off and have no coincern for the welfare of the animal that they make their living with.
