Costless energy $31,563.00 paid to Mills for solar panels with the promise of "zeroing out power bills" 100% return in Investment" They barely work! He refuses to rectify or make restitution! Yakima, Washington
Responding to and ad which claimed his solar panels would "quickly pay for themselves; give a guaanteed 100% return on investment; and eliminate power bills,," then similar promises from his salesman, We dug a deep hole into our retirement portfolio and paid him $41,863 for which 78% went toward solar panels and 22% went toward other home renevation goods and services. The panels are yeilding less than $29.00 in monthly savings on average. He refused to make restitution or rectify the situation. $32,000 wasted!!! His only defense is how much IRS money I was refunded. (A lot of money got stuffed into his pocket.)
There are other issues: his selling me foreign panels vs. the higher-incentive in-state panels; his dubious tax reduction scheme which he calls his reduction package, all very questionable..-Topics for another time.
Local competitors in solar energy consistantly stated that he over charged us by $16,000 or more. They each further stated that he is a discredit to the industry. Mr. Mills is a sociopath and a cheat. He's crafty and smart, and I strongly suspect that he knows his way around the court room quite well. When dealing with him, make absolutely certain each and every promise, claim, and expectatiion is carefully documented and signed; that is of course if you're foolish enough to do business with him in the first place.
