These 2 guys drove up to my house today.  Now we live out in the middle of no where and I do not like people outside of UPS and FEDEX coming up to my door.  Anyhow, I saw them pull up and I told my wife to tell them no.

The guy kept pushing and pushing, I'll knock off 20%, I get a bonus if I empty the truck by the end of the night, yadda, yadda, yadda.  Well the guy kept pushing and I had had enough.  I told him he had 20 seconds to leave and after that I was very embarrassed on how I encouraged him to leave, but I have a home and a family to protect.

I took down the license plate number PGY 7702 Ohio Plates.  I called the "corporate office" and I called the Columbus, location, no answer at either end.

The other comments on this post should say enough.  Bottom line, in this day in age, I don't like ANY strangers coming up to the house for ANY reason.  Is it a front?  are the scoping the place out?

Be very careful and Say no.  You can buy better NON FROZEN meat at the store.

Wow, thanks for posting this criminal's license plate, I'll be sure to hide my wife & kids should I see him in my neck of the woods.  Agreed, these meat salesman can be annoying and pushy.  But, after reading this particular salesman's response (which I found to be well-written and extremely diplomatic...kudos Mr. Salesman), I have to ask what your problem is?  Couldn't handle the fact that you wife liked his meat?  Angus-envy? OK, I'm done with the stupid jokes.

I do wish that the salesman would post your address so the rest of the world knows where to stay away from.  In fact, I feel as if it is his duty.  Perhaps you should consider making several very large signs warning the public to stay away.  Seriously, McDonald's has to display a disclaimer warning patrons that their coffee is hot...who doesn't know coffee is hot?  The least you could do is post a sign in your yard warning potential victims that you suffer from paranoid delusions and will indeed shoot any threat, real or perceived.

I must warn you though, Shotgun Boy.  If you were to place a shotgun in my face, you would have less than a split second to pull that trigger.  Otherwise, I WILL disarm you, I WILL make you cry like a little girl in front of your family, I WILL NOT be gentle,  I WILL NOT take my knee or the shotgun off of your back until you are in police custody.  Yes I will do all of this on YOUR property and YOU will go to jail.  What you did was "Assault With A Deadly Weapon," which is a felony.  As a US citizen you have the right to bear arms, not the right to shove a gun in someone's face because you don't like what they are doing/selling/saying.  You should thank this meat salesman for not calling the police and having you arrested.

Please, Shotgun Boy, get help for your paranoid disorder.  At the very least post multiple signs all over your property warning everyone to just stay away.

SHOTGUN SHY LITTLE MAN?

I just want to say that there are two sides to every story and now it's time I tell my side! The details he left out and or changed!

First, his wife never told me no! In fact, she invited me to show her what we had and were doing.

I knocked on the door and was greeted by his wife and son(maybe 4 or 5 yrs old). I informed his wife of who I was and what I was doing...She agreed to let me continue so with out any hesitation I showed her my meat. This show took place on their front porch. This took all of maybe 5 minutes and at the end she told me no, they couldn't afford it.

I wanted to help them out and at the same time, get my bonus for emptying the truck(in the world of sales...doesn't that just make since?!) I offered to take 20% off to help them out. She still told me no they were just too broke so her son and I started packing things up and I was working on leaving.

Now up to this point, I have not seen nor heard from the husband! He came out of the garage and started writing my license plate number down. then proceeded to the porch at which time he told the son to get in the house. it was at this point that the normal took a turn for the worse!

He reached in the door as soon as the son was in the house and pulled out a shotgun and put it inches from my face...giving me 20 seconds to leave his property. I mean really, was that even necessary! I was already leaving!

It was at this point I started pleading for him not to shoot me...I told him I had three kids and a granddaughter and that this was uncalled for...I was leaving! His wife agreed as she pleaded with him to put the gun away...all the while, his little impressionable son was standing at the corner of his garage watching this violent act!

Embarrassed? You should be! You should also add ashamed...Your son seen you do this! Is this really what we want to teach our children? Pull a gun on someone who is just trying to make an honest living?

If I were a criminal and "scoping" the place out, would I really pull up in a well marked  van, hand you a brochure with my name on it and give you my phone number? Probably not!

Instead of being a coward and sending your wife to tell a stranger no...why don't you exercise your position as "the man of the house" and do this yourself! I mean if you are that anti social and believe that everyone is out to get you, you shouldn't have had your wife and child out doing this for you! My opinion!

man up next time...in fact, maybe you should take a look...you are knocking what I had and yet, have never tried it, or seen it for that matter! We actually carry a great product and for you to post this is one thing, but to slander our product with out even trying it...says a lot about your character! I hope for your families sake, in the future you make wiser and safer choices!

This could have ended with everyone happy had you just been the man you was trying to be behind that shotgun and talked to me yourself!  You and your family could have enjoyed a great choice cut steak dinner that night for under $3 each...did I mention it was Angus? Instead, you had to deal with your upset wife!

I would like to apologize to your wife and son for your actions!

Lesson learned I hope...Next time, the guy you pull a shotgun on might not take it so lightly...I leave you with words from my father(someone who I watched and learned from growing up)...think before you act!
