Apparently they were NOT affiliated with the company who wrote in to complain!

I don't know where they went.

So looks like some serious identity theft was going on here!

And the guys I wrote about changed their phone numbers frequently.

Disgruntled former employees,maybe?

It is reallylousy when good honest businesses have a name that is similar to one that is defamed by some scammers.

YOUR business does not even have an office here.

If you look over the website ther's NO mention of the meat being of US origin. That leaves all kinds of possibilities open of where the meat is sourced from. The USDA does inspect meat coming in from foreign countries. Don't you deserve to know what nations flag your steak was slaughtered under?

Their web site is interesting, especially the 'guarantee'. NO REFUNDS, just exchanges. Their meat is USDA inspected. Big deal. WHAT GRADE IS IT?? Cutter, canner maybe?

Folks, your local butcher shop will outdo these 'deals' hands down. Not satisfied, you'll get your money back.

The picture ishardly convincing. Show us the outside of the building where you proudly display your corporate logo for all to see.

The truck looks a lot like a Cadillac Escalade. Your salespeople all use these, right?

Hey just wanted to say run from this company. I worked for them in the past and ya those nice vans not so nice. All the guys in the company pay 30 bucks everyday just to drive that crap. The only people making money is craig that than his boss which says that they are the biggest company really. Having two offices is the biggest. Mich and ft wayne. Oh thats right you used to have one in colubus too. My bad. All i can say is that everyone i met didnt have crap and were all living in hotels close enought to where if they couldnt drive the vans home could walk there. Was one older guy there that i went with was about the only honest person in there but he too has nothing. So if your going to work there and want to work for people that smoke in a office that isnt suppose to be smoked in and drink on the job and drive a guy around that drinks on the job then hey this is the job for you. Oh and by the way yes you are independent contractor to so you have to pay your own taxes and good luck trying to figure that one out. They keep zero record of any of the people that you sell while you are out there. So ya i know the jack off will respond and say how i am not right with what i have said. But all i have to say is craig and ken you both know all of this is right.

I am sorry it took me so long to update this posting.... I know I should have updated this when they brought me the new meat but I am busy working and didnt think it was my problem nor did I say anything that was not true in my initial posting.  I worry if I do not post this that they will continue to call me at work and on my home phone so here goes....

I called Craid back later that night after I had not heard from him and then Craig did end up calling me back later and let me know he would have new meat out to me.  He was very nice on the phone this time and did not act like I was wrong about the meat.  He did tell me they have not had this issue in the past.  He did send a driver out the next day when it would be convenient for me to take the old meat and leave me the new meat.  I have since made just about all of the steaks and the burgers and they are very good.  We have not had any issues since the meat has been replaced which is all I wanted in the first place.  I also have had friends that ordered meat from them and did not have a problem and no they do not drive junky trucks they actually have nice vans with freezers in the back of them.

I did try to follow the proper lines of command when I started with this issue even though he seems to think I didnt.  Everything I stated in my initial posting is true.  The salesman wrote down his personal number on our pamplet and told my husband "you can call me with any issues or questions" So when the meat smelled funky I did just that.  He asked me to call the CS line which I did and no one would answer and no one cared to return my call.  SORRY if I seemed a little over irritated but the meat that I had in my home did smell and I did not want to keep it in my house and they said that I could not dispose of it.  I think anyone in that situation would have gotten irritated as I have.

Though I will not order from them again because of this experience the 2nd round of meat is perfectly fine and I understand that ever order cannot be perfect but I would expect the customer service to be!

First of all, we have never been Cattleman's/Rancher's/Barnyard or whatever Choice you're claiming. We have been Country Choice for close to 10 years, and since you're claiming we have changed our #'s, do your research. Our main line is 1-866-547-8325, see how long that # has been in existence under the same Company. We do not own a pickup, so to categorize us with another Company that may piggy back off of the 100,000 plus satisfied customers we have created over the last 10 years is sad on your part. To accuse us of selling people we've killed is absurd, and worthy of a lawsuit. Our distributor is the largest in the Country, and they service thousands of accounts other than just us. I'm sure they would be interested in your accusations as well. We have other offices in the U.S. and we have plenty of hard working Americans that are honest, with pristine background checks, and depend on our Company to pay their bills. I invite you to come take a look at our state of the art Corporate Office/Warehouse in the Grandville business center. We are not some rinky dink Company, that has been able to survive this long by scamming and/or hustling people. As I have stated, we are in full compliance with all Dep't of Ag guidelines and they visit regularly. When you consider there are a handfull of complaints on here vs. the thousands of people that go out of their way to thank us, it's not a bad ratio. However, any unsatisfied customer is 1 too many. The original complaint on here by Kelly has long since been taken care of. I looked at getting these removed, or rectified and the cost per case is $2,000. That seems like a rip off in itself. I will include some pictures of our "hole in the wall" office as you claim it to be. You be the judge. If you see a pickup with our name on please call, because it is someone fraudulantly representing our fine establishment.

You people selling meat off a truck better not come to my house.  I call the cops, because I know you don't have a permit to be peddling in this town.  I hope you come knocking, then I can call the cops and have them come get you.  You people that buy meat off the back of a truck are idiots.  Hell, just don't buy anything from someone that is a peddler.  We had a magazine saleman molest a little 12 year old girl when she answered the door and couldn't produce a parent when he asked where they were.  Then he realized she was there alone and he had hit the jackpot.  All peddling needs to be outlawed, it is dangerous, and you will lose money.

I bet Chris doesn't even have all his front teeth, and hasn't washed his hair in weeks.

I HAD FAMILY MEMBERS SELL GIRL SCOUT COOKIES DOOR TO DOOR BACK IN THE LATE 1950S AND THE EARLY 1960S BUT IT WAS A DIFFERENT WORLD BACK THEN.

THEY USED TO CALL THIS COMPANY CATTLEMEN'S CHOICE, RANCHER'S CHOICE, BARNYARD CHOICE, AND THEN STEAKHOUSE CHOICE..WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY CALL IT NOW... AND THEY USED TO HAVE A CHEAP GARAGE AND OFFICE NEAR A PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY WHERE I WAS WORKING, ONE NOTORIOUS ON CHEAP LOCATIONS.

I WOULD BE IN MY CAR AFTER WORKING PATROL ALL NIGHT AND I WOULD SEE THE EX-CON LOSERS AND OTHER MISFITS COME IN FOR THE DAILY CON,AS I CALLED IT. THEIR SALES MANAGER GUY WOULD PUMP THEM UP AND I COULD SMELL THE MARIJUANA AND THEY WOULD JUMP INTO THOSE BANGED UP PICKUPS WITH THE INSULATED COOLER CHESTS ON THE BACKS AND AWAY THEY WOULD GO.

THEY WOULD SELL TO LOWER END RESTAURANTS IN LOWER SOCIOECONOMIC LEVEL NEIGHBORHOODS.

THEY WOULD GET A COUPLE OF CASES OF "MEAT" AND WALK INTO A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD, HAWKING IT DOOR TO DOOR USUALLY TELLING PEOPLE THAT IT WAS THEIR LAST CASE OR THEY HAD STOLEN IT FROM A STEAKHOUSE AND IT WAS TOP QUALITY AND THEY WOULD YOU LET YOU HAVE SUCH A DEAL.

I WOULD HEAR THESE CLOWNS LAUGHING ABOUT IT AND PERFECTING THEIR SALES PITCHES WHEN THEY WOULD COME IN FROM WORKING THESE ROUTES AND SHARING THEIR SCHEMES.

THEY WERE ALWAYS CHANGING OUT THEIR TRUCKS AND PHONE NUMBERS AND THE PEOPLE WHO HAWKED THIS MERCHANDISE WHICH I DON[T THINK THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN DOING IF THEY WERE HONEST.  AND OF COURSE, THESE GUYS ALWAYS INSISTED THAT IF YOU PAID CASH, YOU COULD HAVE EVEN A BETTER DISCOUNT WHICH WAS $130 PER CASE, SAME AS YOU PAID.

A GUY I WAS WORKING WITH ONCE BOUGHT WHAT THEY CLAIMED WAS SHRIMP AND WHEN HE GOT IT HOME, HE LEARNED THAT THERE WERE FIVE HALF-ROTTEN JUMBO SHRIMP IN ONE HECKUVA LOT OF ICE WHICH MELTED INTO SOME STENCH. HIS CAT ATE GOOD.

SO THIS IS JUST ANOTHER DOOR TO DOOR SCAM.

THEY OFFERED TO SELL ME SOME MEAT. I ASKED THEM IF IT WAS KOSHER AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT. END OF SALES PITCH.

AND YOU ALL FELL FOR IT...

WHEN YOU ARE BUYING MEAT, ANY FORM OF MEAT, YOU ARE BUYING A DEAD ANIMAL. AND IF YOU HAD EVER SEEN AN AUTOPSY, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THE MEAT YOU BUY LOOKS A LOT LIKE PARTS OF HUMAN BEINGS.

HOW DID YOU KNOW IN FACT YOU WERE NOT BUYING HUMAN VICTIMS FROM THESE PEOPLE?

BASED ON WHAT I SAW OF THE WHOLE OPERATION, I WOULDN'T HAVE PUT ANYTHING PAST THESE PEOPLE!

THIS IS LIKE A SCAM THE OLD-TIME MOBSTERS RAN UP ON THE NE COAST, I AM TOLD. SO WHY NOT MAKE A FEW PEOPLE "DISAPPEAR" INTO THE MEAT PEDDLERS?

DO NOT BUY FROM PEOPLE LIKE THIS. IT IS A VERY OLD SCAM.

NO TELLING WHERE THEY REALLY GET IT OR WHAT THEY ARE REALLY SELLING TO YOU.

IF YOU MUST EAT MEAT, BUY IT FROM A REPUTABLE GROCERY STORE.

I understand your frustration if you feel the meat you got was not good. The reason you had a difficult time getting a speedy resolution was because you called the Driver. I spoke with Chris and he said he told you to follow the guidelines for customer service matters that are outlined on the brochure. You did this and called the customer service line 9/29 and we are glady rectifying this situation the following day 9/30. You have to understand that for every 1 unhappy customer we have hundreds who rave about us. Unfortunately for us, it is only the ones who are unsatisfied who take the time to spread word via the internet. I am going to work on some testemonials from our faithful customers. It is in NO way our intention to take advantage of anyone. I personally buy all of my meat products from Country Choice. We have been in business approximately 10 years and we would not be if we did not care if our customers were happy. I want to reitterate, once you called the customer service line, we promptly scheduled a time with you the following day to resolve this matter. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Please respond to this to let anyone reading that what I am saying is the truth.
