Country Home Products Rip Off on Return Fees and Charges Vergennes Vermont
I purchased a 3Pt Fence Line Trimmer pro-XL from Country Home Products on 8/25/16 and paid extra for shipping. I was told that it had a 90 day purchase if I was unsatisfied with it at that time it could be returned. the total cost came to $1108.59 as well I purchased the string to use with it at $21.99 plus shipping of 2.39 totaling $24.38. When I contacted them to return it as it did not do as the video advised it would. I was told there would be extra charges on the return shipping back as they had assumed part of the ship to costs..NONE of this was explained at the time of purchase and therefore the amount I was refunded was only $601 for the trimmer wich was a $999.99 item and $21.99 for the string. This is very poor salesmanship on their part as all they advised is if it didnt meet your needs within the time frame it could be returned. I paid to have it sent here in the amount of $108.60 but triple that amount to send it back. This is definately a very poor way of sales to promote a product that absolutely doesnt do what its intended for. If that is the way they rip people off its wrong they need to be upfront with all charges prior to the purchase it would possibly make for a sale on another of their products, but they will not get my return purchase ever again for this reason.
