country wide home loans aquired my parents mortgage from another company and have had a headache since then. My father got hurt at work and was terminated. He now has no income and is in a doctors care fighting for his workmans comp.

Country wide had increased the payments so much that my dad just couldn't cope any longer. Prior to his termination he tried to refinance as they suggested but more money was needed. My dad sold everything he could and the whole family pitched in however possible.

To do the refinancing of modification they said it was neccessary to prove they had a hardship case. My parents sent them two checks for the amount they required. Country Wide withheld both of them to make their payments delinquent to prove hardship.

The necessary paperwork seemed to get lost every time it was faxed to them.

Then they claim they had passed their deadline and had to start all over again. They also said because these payments were in a different office that was only for the purpose of the refinancing that these payments would both be returned.

Only one check was returned. The check for the largest amount was never returned but no paperwork was sent either to show where this money was applied and how.

My folks came home one day to complete the moving they had started to find that the door locks had been changed and a notice was posted. It said that the home was winterized and rekeyed.

My parents recieved no call or paperwork of such a matter. They also noticed that there window airconditioner was pushed out the window, their computer was missing, later we noticed some inexpensive but sentamentle jewelry was gone, not to mention they took the baking soda from the refrigerator and flung it all over the kitchen floor.

We called them to find out why the home was rekeyed amoung everything else and asked why we were not notified. They claimed it was an error on their part and they thought it was abandoned because they grass was high which was a normal thing in this case.

Funny thing is it was winter and there was no grass. I called the sheriffs office and NBC Augusta to witness and video-tape as my mother and I used a crow bar to break into my parents house to get there belongings.

The home is listed on the internet as in preforeclose without an eviction notice or anything; not even a phone call. My parents have since moved out but we have family that live next door to keep tabs on things for us.

Recently they hired a contractor to tear down the workshop my dad built and my dads boat which was actually on the edge of the property next door was gone. My family did a little investigating and found out that the contractor had taken it; and was told by them that he could have it.

This incident started months ago and still they have not sent any paperwork, nor called my parents. This company is scamming people and putting them out on the street. They know that these people can't stand up to all their big shot attorneys and don't have the funds to fight back legally.

They are in violation according to foreclosure law of not doing the necessary paperwork for the foreclosure, for holding those payments as they did, and for not showing where some of this money went.
