Cross Country Bank ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing and credit bureau reporting ripoff fraud business Boca Raton Florida
As noted by similar postings of rip off reports, Cross Country bank deceptively billed and added many charges that were not warranted.
I too had a $300 limit that was promised to increase after two successful payments. This never transpired and I initially paid my bill off in full every month.
I too was laid off from my employer. I still made my payments on time. I only made the minimum payments required. The company would charge a monthly maintenance fee and interest. If the interest took my balance ever so slightly above the $300 limit I would be assessed an over the limit fee. This would not be due to my card usage, but the interest that was being charged on the account. I have a Capital One card that never assesses over the limit fees for interest; only for purchases.
If you fail to bring your account under the limit asap (prior to the payment due date) you are charged a late fee. This is what repeatedly happened to me.
I recently applied for a home loan through a reputable national lender and I was almost denied due to the negative credit reporting by Cross Country Bank. I disputed their reporting to no avail.
I would appreciate others taking action against this company in hopes of a class action suite that may cease their business operations.
