Crown Ford of Fayetteville, NC Tried to sell second key to me for truck I was purchasing Fayetteville North Carolina
Bought a used F150. They said they only had one key. I requested they provide me with a second key. They would not do it. However, after I became vocal enough for other customers to hear, they offered to SELL me a second key at the “employee price” of $219.00 !!!
Upon finally getting to the finance person, she excused herself for a minute and magically reappeared with the second truck key!!!
This is a SCAM!! If every vehicle they sell is SOLD a second key at 200.00 or greater, can you imagine the money they make!!

Did they charge you an official sounding BOGUS FEE for $579??? They proudly proclaim they are playing the BOGUS FEE game and as such, this tells you up front "honesty" and "integrity" are NOT their practice! The Sleazy American Car Business has developed their well deserved slimeball, pond scum reputation. You did well! I especially liked how you made enough noise so other potential customers to hear. For future reference, avoid any dealer which LIES to you about the real price of the car by using the BOGUS, ADD-ON, PHONEY FEE con-game!
