Update:Complaint against Crown Toyota's financing practices.
I am pleased to report that Crown Toyota agreed to resolve my complaints regarding the sale of a used car I bought from them described above. After months of getting the runaround from the dealership and filing useless complaints with the BBB (which did nothing btw), I finally was able to get results and this web site was the key to my success along with the help I got from the Rip-off Report staff.
After posting my complaint on this site, Rip-off Report offered to help me by calling the dealer and walking him to this website to make them aware of my complaint. Once he had showed the person the site, he instructed her to print copies for the Owner of the dealership and the General Manager. He also told her that he had advised me to picket the dealership every weekend providing copies of my post to potential customers until something was done about my complaints.
Well, I recieved a call withing an hour from the Finance Manager who originally took advantage of me. Basically, he said that the Dealer was going to buy out my current loan from the lender and rewrite it as I requested. Finally, they agreed to meet my terms. In the end I saved $5,818.92. Can you believe it! See additional numbers from the first contract at the end of this post. I have included a comparison of the sales contracts here. Contract #1 was done on 11-05-01, #2 on 11-11-01, and #3 on 11-29-02.
