In July 2010, I found Daryl Dougal's site, www.buyitfastandeasy.com, online while looking for a bigger place to live. We were expecting our second child and didn't have room in our small apartment.  It was very appealing in that it was a lease-option and you didn't have to have perfect credit, which we didn't.

We signed an agreement with Mr Dougal in August 2010 for a home he had listed.  Also, he advertised taht he would take $8,000.00 off asking price if we wanted to do the remodel/repairs ourselves (it is an older house).  Because I was pregnant, I didn't want to do the work ourselves, so Mr. Dougal agreed that he would be making $8,000.00 in remodel/repair to the house before we moved in, in September 2010.

Not only did Mr Dougal complete faulty repairs, it took until March 2011 to get even half of the things he was supposed to take care of, started. He also had his young children and his wife helping him do all the remodel/repair. Which was all done terribly!!! The sliding glass door was broken and wouldn't open. It was very hot in the summer and he was supposed to have it fixed, however, he never did, so we replaced it with a new one.

He placed laminate flooring over rotten subfloor. When brought to his attention, he denied it saying the floor was uneven to begin with, which is untrue.  He covered up holes in the house with appliances, etc. so we didn't notice them until Rats were getting in our house and we pulled appliances out to find big holes in the wall. He was supposed to hang closet doors.  He brought the doors here, started putting tracks on them, left, returned a few days later stating he wanted to work on them at his own house so he didn't have to keep coming in and bothering us. We never saw him again after that.

At the time we signed the lease, we also paid in addition to a full month's rent, $3500.00 to secure purchase. On top of that, we were receiving $100/mo credit from monthly mortgage/rent payment, which was supposed to be added to our down payment.  At present, we have paid Mr Dougal over $5000.00 down on the house.

In September 2011, we received notice that Mr Dougal had in July 2010 borrowed over $103,000.00 against the house we were "purchasing" and was not making payments to the Credit company he had borrowed from.  We were advised that unless Mr Dougal paid what he owed, the house would be going into foreclosure. And because the money Mr Dougal had borrowed against the house, was before we signed the lease-option agreement, our contract with Mr Dougal is null and void.  We no longer have claim to this house.

We have attempted to call and send a letter to contact Mr Dougal on returning our money, we have had no response. Mr Dougal has not made any payments and the house we have put our savings down on is now gone.  We have lost our house.  We have lost our money. Today is April 10th. The house goes up for auction on April 13th. Please, do not trust this man.  And do not give him your money!!!
