Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Do not hire David Lewis, DC otherwise known as "Watch Your Back", he is a scam artist and will con you out of your money if you let him.

I was involved in a car accident my first week of moving to Las Vegas. I was referred to David Lewis (I can't call him a Dr. Doctors should be more ethical) by the personal injury attorney I hired.

When David Lewis arrived to my home, I reiterated the same thing to him as I did the attorney "I don't want to be liable for anything if the insurance portion does not work out and I end up uncovered", THEY BOTH AGREED. I also said to David Lewis, I don't think it's wise that I begin treatment until the insurance claim was finalized or at least I was told as to whether my insurance would cover the medical and if the other driver had insurance at all. Both parties coerced me into receiveing treatment, treatment that I denied and asked to be delayed multiple times.

Considering that a doctor wouldn't lie and that a law office would be knowledgeable either, I started treatment with David Lewis with the understanding that in the event of the insurance not working out I would not be liable for any charges. Once it was ascertained that the other driver did not have insurance and that my insurance would not cover medical expense the treatment stopped and I didn't hear from David Lewis until he sent a text message asking for $3,000. What kind of a doctor text messages you a bill? At the time I did feel bad that David Lewis spent time treating me and I did want to help, so I asked for time to scrape up money together to give to him, but admitted that it would not be $3,000. i didn't even have a car at the time, if I had a spare $3,000 laying around the house it would've went towards purchasing a new car.

Time went by and I guess too much for David Lewis' comfort. I received a number of harrassing text messages and phone calls asking for money and even a text that threatened "my credit" and another that stated that "I was not a man". At that moment I decided not to have any interest in "helping", David Lewis. After all, I was told that I would not be liable, and I am not in the business of helping anyone when they insult me.

Two years later I receive a collection notice from some local collection agency here in Vegas asking for a payment of a little over $6,000. David Lewis of Watch Your Back WILL NEVER get a dime from me. He is a liar, con artist and a scam artist. Never do business with this man, and if you need a chiropractor please find one that is reputable and credible. David Lewis of Watch Your Back should not be allowed to call himself a Dr. Please do not do business with him.

Dear Mr. Bass,

I'm so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience during your attempt to prevail in regards to your personal injury claim.  I really appreciate your feedback and I hope that your will be able to appreciate my position as well.  I would like to take this opportunity to address and comment on your points...

1.  As we all know, car accidents are a very serious matter and a lifetime of injury and pain are a very real possibility.  If one wishes to pursue legal recovery against the guilty or at fault driver, the first step is to hire a personal injury attorney to represent your best interest and to manage this process for you.  What they tell you is that unfortunately, not all cases are decided in the favor of the plaintiff, which then leaves you reponsible for your treamtent bills.

2.  In cases where the plaintiff loses, he is still responsible for his medical bills and treatment costs.  You accepted this responsibility upon signing the standard doctors lien for personal injury cases at the onset of your case.  This is an industry standard and always explained at the time of your initial consult and retainer signing between you and your attorney.

3.  Additionally, as standard practice I require a consent form to be signed upon your first treament.  During the 23 visits provided to you, Mr. Bass, all 23 forms were signed and are currently on file.  The desire to not be responsible for any cost is a nice idea, but does not make it so.  Note:  All treatment has to be completed before an amount can be determined by the attorney for their final letter of demand.  You could not settle with any insurance agency on a estimate.  This is an industry standard and was explained to you when you began treatment and again when I sent you the copies of your debt validation and signature pages.

4.  In regard to the debt that you owe, it has been two years and no responsible effort has been made by you to settle.  Many prior attempts were made to recover a portion of the higher balance, but they were left unanswered by you.  Eventually, I was forced to send your account to a professional debt collector for the full original amount.  Unfortunately, your attorney took more than 2 months to determine there wasn't a responsible party and your case was lost which is what made the unpaid medical debt your responsibility.  I fully understand your frustration with your legal proceedings, howeve, your discontent with your legal representation doesn't make me a con man or scam artist as you represented.  I personally took care of you for 2 months in good faith making trips to your residence at your convenience.  Documentation has been provided to you to validate this debt, including consent forms and financial agreements with your signatures, yet it still remains unpaid.  Please let me help resolve this for you.

5.  Mr. Bass, I have been more than willing to work out arrangments for you to repay your debt.  However, posting online libelous statements are not constructive.  I strive to ultimately contribute to a healthy full recovery for every patient patient I encounter.  Feel free to call me anytime.   Again, I apologize for your unfortunate experience.
