Complaint Review: Definity Group LLC - Chicago Illinois

It's unfortunate that I have to resort to this sort of thing, especially after attempting to handle this situation with the person, first. 

I hired Definity Group, LLC to do some repairs on my roof, facia and paint the trim on the windows of the front of my house. My complaint and warning to others who are reading this is not that they performed a bad job but they trasspased personal boundries in my personal space to pry and go through my personal belongings. And because of this confirmed incident, I am making sense of a set of drills that came up missing directly after they left, after changing a water heater in my house, some months before.

I believe last year around this same time of the year, I hired them to change the water boiler in my house after it had busted. In the area in which they were working oninside my basement, I had a set of brand new dewalt black and yellow drills that were gifted to me by my fiance. I know that they were directly in the area where they were working at because I personally moved the bag they were in along with other items to make work space for them. After the work was done and they left, I went to put back the group of items I moved along with my drills. However there were no drills, they were gone. 

I called the person who did the work Jonathan Alfaro about the situation and he denied anyone taking the drills. Since I had no proof, I let the situation go. 

Then this recent incident happen, I hired them a second time primarily to do some roofing work. In order to facilitate their work, I let them enter their equiptment through my garage which was the biggest mistake. I wish I would of never hired these people. 

In my garage I have some so personal and dear to me 400 year old anceint african artifacts, in which him and his workers pryed into. Inside one of the ancient receptacles, I had some valueble items in which were pryed into. AFter they left from finishing the work ,they left some tools in my garage that were to be picked up at a later time. In order to throw out my garbage and access the alley, I have to go through the garage, so as I'm walking towards the back to throw my gargabe out, I see my artifacts moved and the top open. I went to check, and I had a yellow cloth that was wrapped around the items and when I went to see why the top was moved, the yellow cloth was not wrapped around anymore, it was stuffed in there and everything was shifted around. 

I immediately called Jonathan and told him about the situation. After I expressed my conscern, instead of acknowledging what I had to say, he immediately became sarcastic and offensive. He stated to minimize my concerns and discount what I was expressing to him. Nothing was resolved. I feel very violated by this company for breaking the trust you give a company to servvice you. Not only have I had items missing right after they have services me in the past, now they pry into my personal belongings. 

Please be careful of these individuals, they will steal from you too.
