Complaint Review: Denson & associates - Meridian Mississippi

 So I hope I'm not to late on doing this. I had a child back in December of 2010 and me and the mother were not on good terms. In short I have been treated so unfairly with seeing my son and spending anytime with him what so ever since he's been born including being escorted from the hospital on d-day for no reason. Now my little boy is five going on six and I've still yet to have a Holliday with him the day of or the day after. I was tired of being treated like I wasn't even apart of this little boys life so I turned to help from my mother and she found this lawyer that was susppose to be the only lawyer in Meridian, ms that works cases both in Ms & AL. So I went to this mans office got everything setup to hire him for his services. His general fee is $1600 upfront to even hire Joseph Denson for him to do any kind of services for you. So I paid him the $1600 that my mother and I had collected up and everything seemed ok. He promised me that I had a MORE than good enough shot at getting full custody of my son and no less than joint. Months would go by and this man would never call me with any new information from the other parties lawyer I always had to find out stuff like that from my baby mother and inform my lawyer about it and he always would act surprised or tell me not to worry about any of that bc I haven't called and told you anything. All in all I spent around $3500-$5000 dollars with this man gave him statements from all kinds of people all the evidence he ever needed and everything and he only represented me once in court and only went and tried to speak with the judge in AL Judge Hardaway or somebody and after the first court hearing it was months up to a year and still I never heard anything from Denson or the judge so I called mr. Denson and asked about why I haven't heard anything from either of them and he told me these things take time and the judge will send us his ruling soon he was sure. So after not hearing anything for months again I called again and talked with mr. Denson and now he says he can't rush the judge so I've been waiting to hear from that judge in AL now for over 4y. I've spoke with mr. Denson before it's gotten to be this long of a time span and he told me that my case must have fell through the aka a black hole. So I immediately said wait, how does a custody case my case just fall through the cracks and doesn't get noticed when we went to court about this?? He had no logical explanation but he told me he was absoultely sure that if I was to put $10,000 grand into this then he could get me my son or whatever it was that I was wanting bc we've been to court my case is familiar with the court I have all my evidence in order and all that good stuff. So I told him that he knew that this first shot at court was all I could afford. He knew I barely could get the money to hire him let alone fork out another $10,000 so I told him all I had left valuable to my name was my small gun collection I had spent my life acquiring and they were only worth $5000 at best. He told me what is your son worth to you bc I know what mine is worth to me and what lengths I'd go to for him. So what is yours worth to you.? I told him I couldn't afford to give you my guns it's all I have left to my name plus you still haven't earned the money I have already gave you bc I still have no rights to my son or visitation schedules or anything to this very day. Also thinking I'd never hear from this man again he had the nerve to call me back a few days later and ask me if I still had " Those Guns " I told him about and wanted to let me know he'd take them as payment and that's when I really felt funny about this man. So I asked the man for all my paper work that I gave him all my evidence journal entries everything that day before I left and still to this very day I've gotten nothing back and that's why I'm here writing this report bc I looked the man up again for his number today 02/27/16 so I could call and ask to get all of my paperwork and stuff that I gave him and that's when I saw in big red letters SCAM and saw Joseph Denson & associates right under it. I had my breath took away when I read the Rip Off report and read that my experience with Denson and this other persons was not too much different than one another. I was shocked to read that he is a Pastor here in Meridian, ms as well bc what this man is doing to people is sooooo wrong bc it's the less fortunate ones he's doing it to. I feel as though it may be too late for me to file a lawsuit now which sucks!!! But what doesn't suck here is that we have a almost identical situation and case and now that there are two maybe just maybe now the proper authorities can see as well as other people that this man is just a GREAT BIG SHAM that needs to be taken off the streets and out of the Community this man is feeding off of under the name of God. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME IF I CAN BE HELPED!! What happened to me and i don't know how many others is sooooo wrong and unfair as well as upsetting and needs to be stopped!!!!!
