Digital River Element 5 Fraudulent $85.45 on VISA 8/19/09 for Kaspersky PC AntiVirus (I own a Mac). Closed acct-Charge escalated to WF Visa fraud dept. DR has no record of purchase-I have no documentation or confirm either. Eden Prairie, Minnesota
I discovered a charge dated 8/19/09 for $85.45 on my Visa card. I normally maintain a zero-balance. It was from DRI*Kaspersky.com orderfind.comMN. It was for PC anti- virus/spyware protection. I closed the account due to stolen number. Charge is in dispute. Attempted to contact DigitalRiver--they said they had no record of any purchase by me on that date or w/that credit card number (the old one I canceled).
Wells Fargo Visa has informed me that their bank confirmed the transaction was mine. I have no record of the transaction, nor did I receive a confirmation of the transaction. I have no order number or any documentation of this purchase. Furthermore, I do not own a PC--I use a Mac and have no use for Kaspersky or any other PC antivirus. The dispute is being escalated to WF's fraud dept.
