Direct Air Family Ties Scam Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
In today's world where we are going after wall street and Big Banks for their greed and deception, it amazes me that Direct Air is allowed to get away with their Family Ties program. In Feb of 2011 I purchased two family ties tickets for 338.00. It has been a joke ever since to try and use them. You cannot call them as they only have one phone number for everything and it just says all agents are busy and then automatically disconnects you.
I have submitted requests through their online family ties request form and either do not get a response or a very late response stating there are no seats on the flights I requested. Of course their web site showed seats available when I submitted the request.
Why don't they tell you which flights are available for family ties? All this while the deadline to use the tickets is fast approaching. They do not even let you know in any way that your request was received, just that you will be receiving an email and this may or may not come. I have friends that are also unable to use their family ties tickets. This is just an outright scam and something needs to be done about it. I am also submitting this to the BBB and Attorney General of SC and requesting a refund.
