RIPOFF by any definition. They advertise as a way to have your package delivered safely and anonomously anywhere, anytime. They even give out a fake tracking number and a couple updates to trick you into thinking your package is on the way.

BUT and it's a huge BUT, at the very last minute, hours before your package is to be delivered, you get an email saying they want you to first pay for INSURANCE. The problem is that the insurance "plans" they offer are outrageous starting with $600 for a one time deal. OR you can opt for a multi-year insurance deal.

Here is an email. Notice the starnge language (the web site is flawless but there are concerns here. Namely Cities permit, State Customs, Verification after yt has been shipped, Package grounded against your portfolio.... all sounds very suspicious. Take a read, especially at the 4 levels of Insurance.

DEAR CLIENT,

"WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT YOUR PACKAGE, TRACKING NUMBER

DD920565014 REGISTERED FOR DISCREET DELIVERY SERVICE WITH US TO YOUR ADDRESS;

(((REDACTED))) Dayton, OH (((REDACTED))) HAS BEEN PLACED ON HOLD AT THE

LEVEL OF CITES PERMIT CLEARANCE IN YOUR STATE PENDING INSURANCE COVERAGE.

WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY STATE CUSTOMS THAT THE PACKAGE NEEDS TO BE INSURED

BEFORE IT CAN GET PASS CUSTOM.

WE ARE THEREFORE REQUESTING YOU GET BACK TO US REGARDING THE INSURANCE

COVERAGE IN ORDER FOR YOUR PACKAGE TO GO THROUGH CUSTOMS AND DELIVERED

SAFELY TO YOUR ADDRESS WITHOUT VERIFICATION.

THIS INSURANCE COVERAGE IS CHARGED ON THE CONSIGNEE OR RECEIVER OF THE

PACKAGE AND IS TO BE CATERED FOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, ELSE THE PACKAGE

WOULD BE GROUNDED, AS WELL AS CHARGES LEVIED AGAINST YOUR PORTFOLIO

CONSIDERING THE CONTENT OF THE PACKAGE.

We basically offer 4 types of insurance plans to suit your needs:

- Five Years Delivery Insurance: $3000 USD (Includes all + Free renewalyearly),

NB:

- We recommend the 6 months Insurance Coverage as the fee is fullyrefunded to the receiver within 48 hours after he/she receives the

package. The refund is processed by the insurance company of ouraffiliate shipper, Craig Weed for client commission so you order and get

your package shipped without interruptions as such with your futurepurchases.

The reason is privacy - pure and simple.

I had another package delivered to my condo and all my neighbors could easily see it was from ColonGuard. So now they know, I was taking a dump in a box! Must be a better way. So recently I ordered off Amazon a valuable collectable. Not wanting a box with that smiley on the side, I went ahead with the shipper/seller to disguise the package - hence Discreet Delivery as I was going to be out of town and did not want it sitting out in the open on the stoop. I've seen plenty of stories of package theives hitting and running offf with other people's packages. Now I have to deal with a couple diffferenct businesses to track down and get a refund (fat chance of that).

I did go to the DD website but NO WHERE undner "How IT Works" did they mention that they would extort extra money from me at every posssible stop. Can't really blame them as it would be vary bad for business.

This was posted to give warning about what to expect to others. Nothing illegal. Nothing like firearms or explosives or medical radiation. Nothing but a desire to have a plain brown box. BTW: I am NOT a smoker of anything; nor a vaporer, just a collector of unusual and rare coins.

Thanks for your opiion but you are way out there with suspicions that don't hold water or are even close to the truth.

Have a salubrious life, which starts with minding one's own business, not others.

I am going to go out on a limb and figure that you are trying to have something shipped to you that isn't exactly "legal" to have shipped, and this is the result.

These types of scams rely on your desire to remain anonymous and "under the radar". They hook people trying to get something that they know is not legal and  then start to come up with additional fees and charges.

Of course they "recommend" the cheapest option, but if you think you will get your money back when it arrives you are smoking too much of what you are trying to have shipped to you. If by chance you lose all common sense and sent them the money, they would have just come up with some other charge and reason to have you send them more money.
