I ordered Dish Network service in early Novemver, 2007. The installation was completed on November 11, 2007. I signed a contract for 18 months service with Dish Network. The "early termination fees" were stated in the contract as $13.33 per month for each month of unused service. In March, 2008, I canceled my service. I communicated with Dish Network and asked for a closing bill, so I could pay it off asap. I received a letter from Allsat Collections, dated March 25, 2008, stating I owed $295.00 for "early termination" of my contract. Enclosed was a copy of a page from "a contract" but not the contract I signed on November 11, 2008. The letter threatened to turn my collection over to a national collection agency. On April 30, 2008 I received a "collection letter" from NCO Financial Services, Inc. for $355.00. The customer listed in their letter was Allsat,Inc. I called Dish Network and they told me they didn't turn my bill over to a collection agency. They claimed to not know anything about it. On April 9, 2008 I received a closing bill from Dish Network for $151.21, which I paid in full on April 20, 2008. On May 5, 2008 I wrote a letter to NCO Financial Systems, Inc. advising them to immediately terminate any further contact with me regarding this bill, which I do not owe to them. I received a collection letter from NCO Financial Systems, Inc dated June 6, 2008 for $355.00 for early termination fees. The creditor was listed as Allsat, Inc. Enclosed was a copy of an invoice for $325.00 for "Chargeback For Violation To Terms and Conditions. In the "terms" portion of the invoice the name ECHO appeared. Also enclosed was another copy of the "contract" that I didn't sign. My signature is nowhere to be found on their contract. I received another collection letter from NCO Financial Systems, Inc., dated June 7, 2008 for $355.00, the creditor is Allsat, Inc. I know I didn't sign a contract with Allsat, Inc. but now how in the H%(& to I get rid of NCO Financial and Allsat, Inc. I filed a complaint with the FTC, but they are about as slow as molasses running uphill. For the time being I am just going to ignore the collection letter.
