I have an ongoing issue with DISH Network which has plagued me almost all of 2013 and now 2014. My story is not just an issue that affects me, but a warning to consumers when it comes to Auto Bill Pay and the popular Bundle Packages that many companies like DISH Network rely on as there marketing strategies. Since my issue has spanned over a year I’ve provided a short overview. I would like for you to understand the full scope of my issue and would be happy to discuss in person, over the telephone or I can provide a detail write up for you.
ISSUE:
February 2013:
June 2013:
December 2013:
With your help I wish to use my consumer responsibility and not only share my story, but warn other consumers of the risks of Auto Bill Pay and Bundle Packages.
Auto Bill Pay:
Bundle Packages:
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to make consumers aware of the issues that can arise when dealing with companies like DISH Network and even though it may not bring a close to my issue, if I can help other consumers from going through what I’m going through I will feel that this issue was not a total waste of my time and money.
Respectfully,
Robert G

Robb,
The one promotion that the enrollment in autopay qualifies you for is HD Free for Life, which requires that stipulation and paperless billing. What specifically happened with your internet installation? I'd appreciate it if you could please email me your account number at [email protected] so I can take a look.

I too have unresolved issues with Dish. But after reading the author's report I may have dodged another problem with them. I live in Phoenix and was told by DISH they did not provide internet service here. Couldn't believe it! Now, I'm relieved!!!
The person who filed the rebuttal must be their employee--sounds just like them!

Why don't you read the report brfore you rebuttal. This is a consended version. I was sold this package on the basis that I would get both serveices. They tried, but could not get me the internet service that I signed the contract to. Therefore they broke the contract. They tried to tell me that I was still responsible for the TV contract, but I told them that that was not how it was sold to me and if what was sold to me is not part of the package then they are committing sals fraud. This is why they agreed to let me out of the contract initailly. They broke the contract and the contract was sold on the basis of sales fraud. I gave them 20 days after my intiual setup appointment to get the interrnet contected and they could not doi it. In fact they asked me to call Centurylink and get reconnected with them so they could again try and reconnect. I told them no because I would be charged a reconnnection fee. DISH also told me onver the phome at the begining that everything was a go and I counld disconnect from Centurylink. Once I did, no internet. I have never dealt with such an incompantent group of people than the people that work for DISH. So yes they are at fault. and to say I don't have a case after the went into my bank account after my account was closed for three months shows the lack of education needed to rebuttal.

How can you expect ANY compensation. This IS your fault. You can try and pass the buck but there is ONE BASIC FACT that invalidates every bit of your argument. YOU SIGNED THE CONTRACT!!! If you DID NOT read the contract then its all on you. YOU are the scammer here in this instance. YOU chose a service and signed the contract. YOU are responsable for any and all fees. YOU dont want to pay them. YOU want the company to pay you, for a descion YOU made, and have to suffer the consequences of. No where in the body of the contract that YOU signed does it state that DISH has to pay you ANYTHING because you deadbeated on your responsabilities.
You are slandering and defaming a company BECAUSE they are holding you to the terms and conditions THAT YOU AGREED TO! You can deflect this and spin this in ANY way you choose. FACTS are FACTS. Your long and elegant post shows some amount of education, so where is that critical thinking skill at??
Stop playing the victim. You are ONLY a victim of your own choices. The message you should be sending out is READ YOUR CONTRACTS!! Or PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU SIGN!!! All you have done is to educate the general consumer about YOUR situation. And a VERY one sided affair this post has been.
