Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband and I heard about Dish Network through a friend, we decided that we wanted their service since it was cheaper than our current service. We scheduled a appointment they took our money. Then they called us to let us know that their tech came to our apartment complex the day before our appointment and was told by our resident supervisor that they couldn't install the dish. So of course I called to get my money refunded, to find that these people were so rude in the way talk acted and treated you.

To make a long story short we got permission from our landlord, it would mean that Dish Network would have to do a little more work for our business. So we called the day our appt. was scheduled and stayed on the phone for 2 hours (literaly), spoke with 5 people and a supervisor.

The employees were uneducated about the company, and couldn't even tell us what the corporate phone number was or even the state it was located in not even the supervisor. (so we could get some answers from people who run the co.)They told us they couldn't make an appointment for another month and kept saying that everything was our fault.

The supervisor named lavelle treated us like idiots and was quiet the whole time we had to ask him if he was still there and then he would say there is nothing I can do for you. Not even a sorry for the inconvienence. Considering the fact that we took off work that day for them to come.

I called Direct tv the same day and they are coming tomorrow and provide that $120.00 cable that they told me I had to buy.

I only had to speak to one person from Direct TV. That one person knew more about her company than all the people combined that we spoke with at DISH NETWORK. Including where her copr. office is located. Dish Network is TERRIBLE, ADVISE EVERYONE WHO PLANS TO GET IT THEY WILL EXPERIENCE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!

I Completely believe you and everything that happened, I don't know what company, the guy who rebutted pervious to me, works for because this company is terrible, at least with customer service, I used to work for Dish as a customer service rep and when I first started I enjoyed it, that last about two months, I don't know how the people in the corporate office are treated but if you work in the call center you are treated horrible, When I worked there I felt like a SLAVE chain to my headset, you have to take call after endless call all day everyday, you get two 15 min breaks and a 30 min unpaid lunch, and for the entire 8 hours that you are there, you continually take call back to back to back. The pressure is unbelievable because they expect you to know everything about everything, in other companies they have multiple department for things such as bills, programming, sales, tech support etc, in this company there is basically one dept that handles everything. Which is impossible to do because thing are always changing. You always have to be on time and when I say on time I mean it, don't be even 1 min late or your going to get written up, so employees always have to worry about job security, and to get into the parking lot you have to cross train tracks and sometimes the trains take 10-15 mins to past and when you go in you get written up when you would have been on time, management just does not care. At dish they have procedures like any company for disciplinary action but theirs makes no since, late and call offs are treated separately. I never called off, but I ran late some time, I was at the maximum amount of times I could be late, which is 5 times in one year, I made it to work but was 1 min late, so in order to keep my job I had to call off, which makes no since, first since it is always busy you now just have one less person taking calls, second I lose pay for the day all over 1 min. At dish they work you to the bone all for $9.00 per hour. Everyone is always quitting because EVERYONE THAT WORKS IN THE CALL CENTER HATES THAT JOB, mostly because the way they are treated, the pay is terrible, the job is worst; some days I rather pay someone else to work for me. I could go on and on about how bad the job is, but the main reason why customers are always get false information, dumb answers and stupid people on the phone is because everyone is always quitting so when you call most of the time you get a new person on the phone that does not know much about anything, if dish wants to provide better Customer Service they need to start by treating the Customer Service Reps Better. So they wont be so biter and provide better service. P.S: Dish did not when the JD Powers award for Customer Service, They won it for Customer Satisfaction, which is a total of things they do for the customer, in the Customer Service Category they lost to Direct TV.

DISH NETWORK - ESCALATION AND UNDERSTANDING

Hi. I work for Dish Network inside the corporate arena and would like to offer a few suggestions. 1) When you call to install on an apaerment complex, our policy and representative fully disclose that you must have the install approved in writing on company letterhead with verifieable phone number by you landlord before any install. They set up a day you can be free for the intial install but if you do not answer the door or become unavaliable during that time, a re-schedule can take from a week to 30 days due to high activity. 2) Installer can be independant contracters. If they violate in any way a scheduled install, they are subhest to penalties by Dish and you can collect from the installers through Dish. Simply call and ask for an inspection person to call you or come by if the install is flawed. 3) I persoanlly know that I and Dish do not like rude customer service reps. From time tot time we must weed these guys out. It happens and a part of any business. Case in point. I am a higher up in the company and called one day to test the service level and got chewed out by a young lady on the other end. I then escalated it up 2 people to the manager and issued my name and company secuirty ID. That lady is no longer employed with Dish. Don't give up. We just won the JD Power and Associates Customer Service Award and want to make sure we bring you the best service. If this means getting rid of a few bad apples, so be it. 4) Direct TV has about the lowest level of service around from knowledge and neighborhood experience who have tried it around my family and I. They are higher price and will charge you outlandish prices for any and everything. We now have No Contacts on our service that has helped us just pass 11 million subscribers. Dish stock hits almost double Direct TV stock for that reason. Best suggestion is be peristant with anything objectionable with Dish. I know Ergen and DeFranco who run Dish Network and guarantee that if you can't get help at a call center, contact them in Englewood, Co. and they WILL help you. Good Luck and God Bless. First off you are right dish network is terable but so is direct tv there is no way that you would have to pay 120 dollars for a cable for any kind of dish or even cable providers. I would get cable service hooked up they can offer all of the same services that direct tv and dish network can plus some more just check into it if you want just wanted to inform you that direct tv ripped you off too. Thanks
