It has been a few years since we quit RVing. Our main park to RV in was Dogwood Springs. Coming from Louisiana, it was a beautiful and friendly atmosphere. I have to write this because the owners, at that time, were Doug and Tammy Wenzel. We got to know them and their two children very well. We even kept the park opened for them once when they went to a family reunion in Texas. We kept in touch over the years but have not seen them or talked to them in the last six or seven years. The people described in this report about them are not the people we knew at all. The atmosphere was so friendly we brought up family from Louisiana. The grounds were so beautiful, we enjoyed our stay every time. They could not have been more helpful and we had campfires with them providing the wood all the time. Their two children we came to love dearly. I realize they are not at the campgrounds anymore and I am sure a report like these two would run anyone off. I am a little put off that the two reports came from the same town in Oklahoma. It would have been more convincing if the states had been different and different cities. At any rate, the people they describe are not the people we knew. I have nothing to gain or lose by defending them. This is just not our experience with these people that have been maligned probably to such an extent they had to sell their property. These are not the people that we knew at all. Cursing never happened. These were good people. I am shocked and no, I cannot believe these people. Whatever their motive was, it seemed they succeeded as the Wenzel's no longer run the RV park. They had nice cabins too. Kept very clean and the lots were kept up very nicely. They were not as close as some we stayed in during our six years of fulltiming.

This campground was sold in 2010. It is now under new ownership and management. The Wenzels are no longer there!
