I am an elite flyer with business elite class status with several rental car companies. My assistant booked dollar general for a recent stay in Austin and not only was the service poor but I felt that the situation warranted almost fraudulent bate and switch type service. While my reservation was booked well in advance, upon arrival rep Matt Rincon informed me no cars were available in my class. My choice was a mini-van or truck. When I said I would take the truck, he informed me that would be an increased charge per day of $10. The mini van would not have an up charge.

To me this is beyond ridiculous. First of all I am a business traveler - I have no interest in a mini van. If you can't manage your inventory system, it shouldn't cost me additional money. When I asked Matt if that was truly my only option - that company policy is to upcharge the customer or stick me in a mini van he said yes at which point I promptly canceled my reservation, moved to the next counter at Enterprise and promptly informed my assistant to avoid dollar whenever possible.

Really horrible horrible customer service.
