Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On January 20 my family and I were in the market to buy a new car. We had shopped around town and looked at all of the cars and were making our final decesion. We stopped into Douglas Nissan and test drove the Nissan Armada. We instanly fell in love with the car.

I test drove the car and then I took it to my husband that was still at work. He liked the look of the Suv and he then went back to Douglas with me to see if we could work out some numbers. We sat down with Bruce the Salesman and started working on a deal. He went over our credit with us and then said that we might look at getting into a Xterra. Which we told him that we were not intersted in the Xterra. He then went and got Sid the Sales Manager and he told us that he wanted to see us in the Armada.

At then time my husband said that he would like to come back tommorrow to talk some more. Then told us that would not be necessary because they could have the deal done in 20 minutes. By this time it was late my son was tired and hungry and we wanted to come back in the morning with a fresh mind.

By this time they were becoming very pushy about getting into the vehicle. We finally agreed on a deal. My husband was worried about the intrest rate on the vehicle because of our credit and Sid asurred us that he had never lost a deal over the intrest rate. They sent us to see the finance manage and he told us what the rate was and it was very high. So we asked to speak to Bruce.

When Bruce came in we told him that we were not sure about the car now because of the intrest rate. He then became very rude and stood up from behind the dest and began to cuss at my husband. Our son was in the room at the time and I did not apprecate the back that Bruce was cursing in front of my son. He told my husband that as a man he shook hand and made a deal and as a man should stand my his word.

My husband was very affented by this time and asked to speak to Sid. Bruce left very upset with us and Sid came into the room and talked to us and we decided to go with the deal. That night we drove off the lot with all of the papers signed thinking that we had bought a new car. We came back the next day to hand them some paperwork that they had requested we need.

We were driving all over town thinking that we had a new car. One week went by and the finance manager call my husband and said that we had some more papers to sign. We agreed to come in and sign the papers. After driving up to the lot with the Armada we were in the shock of our lives. When we got out of the Suv and went inside it was like we were not there. We finally found Sid and they took us to the finance manager and they told us that the bank would not approve us for that amount.

We have been driving this new vehicle around for a week or more and they then tell us that we are not approved for it. We were very upset and asked to talk to Sid or Bruce. Bruce could not be located so they sent Sid in to talk to us. He told us that they could not get the banks to finance us the amount. He told us that he could put us in a car and as soon as we told him No he left the room.

We then asked to talk to the general manager and he came in and was very nice and calm and talked to us about what had happened. We told him that we wanted our car back and the down payment that we had given them. My husband had also requested some information about the banks that they had used and he told us that would be no problem. Plus they also made a deal to return our motorcyle to us because we lived on the other side of town.

We waited for over a week for the check to be returned and the motorcyle to be delivered. My husband called the dealership and was put on hold numerous times. We also told them that at the time that I had test drove the Armada that I had to put gas into the Suv and would like to be reburused for the gas we put into it. When my husband mentened this to Sid he became very upset and cussed out my husband over the phone and then slammed the phone down on him. By this time my husband had wrote a letter to the Nissan Corp.

When we went into the dealership to pickup the check and motorcyle we talked to the Manager of the dealership. He wanted nothing to do with us and just wanted to get us out of the office. We tried to explan to him that we did not like the way that we were treated in his dealership. But he did not care, by this time my husband was starting to get upset with them and told the manager that he was sending a letter to the Nissan Corp. and to the BBB. When my husband presented a copy of the letter to him he became very upset and told us that it was time for us to leave before he got upset and lost his temper.

This has taught a very good lesson. Do not trust the dealerships that you do business with. Always stand by what you wish to purchase and are willing to put down. We will never go back to Douglas Nissan and warn the rest of the comsumers what might wait them if they venture into Douglas Nissan.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

WELL AFTER READING THIS REPORT, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. DOUGLAS NISSAN IS NOT REALLY A GOOD DEALER WHEN IT COMES TO DEALKIGN WITH CUSTOMERS THAT THEY CANN NOT GET FINANCED. I WORKED AT THE DOUGLAS IN CA. AND CAN TELL YOU THAT THEY NOT ONLY TREAT CUST. BAD, BUT THEY ALSO DO EMPLOYEES BAD. ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT YOU MUST HAVE DONE LIKE SO MANY OTHER CUST. DO...YOU GO TO THE LOT TRYING TO GET MORE CAR THAN YOU CAN AFFORD, THEN DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR IT. YOU ALWAYS WANT A "DISCOUNT"!!! WHY DON'T YOU DO THIS NEXT TIME.. LISTEN TO THE SALESPERSON AND THE MANAGER TRYING TO HELP YOU, WE DO THIS ALL DAY. PEOPLE COME TO THE LOTS THINKING THEY KNOW EVERYTHING...WELL YOU DON'T.YOU NEED TO GO IN AND LISTEN AND STOP TALKING SO MUCH. I AM KINDA GLAD THEY DID THAT TO YOU,BECAUSE NOW YOU WILL HOPEFULLY GO INTO ANOTHER DEALER AND BE HUMBLE ENOUGH TO GET WHAT YUO CAN AFFORD. SALESPEOPLE WORK ON COMMISION, AND EVERY DOLLAR OFF THE PRICE COMES OUT OF OUR POCKET. IF YOU WANT A "DISCOUNT" NEXT TIME....GO INTO THE DEALER,DEAL WITH THE SALESMEN AND PAY HIM ON THE SIDE. THEY MOST LIKELY HAVE A FAMILY TO FEED LIKE YOU DO, SO HELP THEM INSTEAD OF JUST THINKING OF YOURSELF. SO ONCE AGAIN, I'M SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, BUT IN A WAY, YOU NEEDED IT.
