I purchased 2 pkgs for Fraxel on Groupon. I called into the Manhattan office for an appointment. The receptionist asked if I purchased the service on Groupon, I replied yes. She then said to go on Groupon and cancel the order on Groupon.
She will take my card information directly. She explained, I just need to go on my account and request refund, it's easy. She waited for me to go online and cancel my order thru Groupon, get my refund, and took my card information over the phone, instead. Seemed odd, but I had not ever purchased this kind of service on Groupon before.
Here comes the SWITCH N BAIT:
On the day of my appointment for Fraxel on my neck and face, the practitioner informed me that I was not a candidate for Fraxel. That I would get better results with a different procedure called Microneedling and PRP. Being that I already purchased 2 fraxel pkgs. I explained that I had done research on fraxel and it is for malasma, I had the procedure before somewhere else and it went well for me with different provider.
She told me they did not have the right fraxel laser for my face at that office. She explained she also had melasma and she uses the microneedling and PRP for her face. She said the one they have only has a (30) setting. Which she explained, at a (30) setting would make the spots on my face darker.
BAIT FOR MORE SERVICES:
She recommend 6 skin rejuvenation sessions, 2 fraxel on my neck with the laser they do have. I also signed up for brazilian laser, totalling $1980.00
She insisted that the microneedling and prp would rear great results. I would love it, 100 PERCENT! I let her do the micro needling since my face was already being numbed for the fraxel. She seemed convincing that It would be an overall better choice. Afterall, she does it to her face, supposedly.
I DO NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE IN MY SKIN AT ALL.
I took a week off of work for the recovery and this was a waste of my time. I am disappointed with the results and do not want to proceed with anything else.
My appointment for skin rejuvenation and fraxel on my neck was today. I called to cancel and ask for refund. I was very polite in the begining. The same girl who told me to cancel my Groupon order, so she could charge my card directly, said, I will never get a refund. They dont give refunds.
I explained, Im asking for refund on services that were NOT rendered. She kept repeating I would never get money back and they don't give refunds. I told her I did not see any results from the service I did receive. I was not convinced I would be happy with additional services.
Here's what I paid for and did NOT receive services for:
6 Skin Rejuvenation appointments
2 fraxel on neck - 2 PRF Inj
7 Brazilian Laser hair removal
TOTAL: $ 1,980.00
After 3 attempts of requesting a refund, I asked to speak to a manager. She hung up on me.
I called back and requested the manager and she said there was not a manager available that she would have someone call me tomorrow.
I called back and then there was a gentleman that started yelling that they don't give refunds. HE screamed, I will never get my money back. Between his yelling over me, I explained I had not received the services.
He accused me of trying to bully the receptionist into giving me a refund. I was flabergasted! Now, I understand why she charged my card thru their account. I would like my money back for services that were NOT rendered, totaling $1980.00
