I had a very bad experience with "Dr" Xiping Zhou at the Farmer's Market in Madison WI.  He advertised his massage as "free" - yet after the massage he started yelling at me because I only tipped him a buck.  During the massage - he was hurting me - and I told him to lighten up and he didn't - and it continued to be painful.  He lashed out at me stating that his minimum tip is $10 and kept threatening me that I needed to give him at least $10.  So I said "I tell you what - I'll buy one of your products - how's that?"  (In order to placate him)  He said you can buy a box of my special "Red Panax Ginseng Extracturm" for $20.  "Or I can sell you one of them for $1.  There are 30 in a box."   So I said - fine - I'll give you $20 for a box.  He then started apologizing for calling me unethical for only tipping him a dollar.

I took one a day each day for three days.  Each day I was very uncomfortable because my heart was racing.  On the 3rd day (i had had some coffee beforehand unfortunately) - I had chest pains and I measured my blood pressure and it was sky high from this thing.  "Dr" Zhou did not warn me about potential side effects from taking the product.  He said "It will give you good energy."

I went back to the Farmers market the following week to try to get my money back - and he refused.  He said - "once the box is opened - I can't give you your money back." I told him my blood pressure went way high, I had chest pain and I my heart beat was going very fast - and the product did not work for me and I wanted my money back.  He refused.  I said -  "since you said you sell each vial for $1 - and there are 27 left in the box of 30 - how about giving me $17 back from my 20 at least?"   He refused.

I now read on the LiveStrong web site:  "Those especially who smoke and drink coffee in combination with ginseng have been shown to have an increased risk of an irregular and fast heartbeat, as well as incidents of congestive heart failure. Both high and low blood pressure have been observed in people using red ginseng. People taking blood pressure medications for high blood pressure should avoid taking red ginseng."

Dr Xiping Zhou does not warn anyone about the above.  He only states that "it will give you good energy - it is good for you."   He acts like it is own special thing.  It is very commonly sold on the Internet. Looking at that same product online - 6 boxes of 30 are 40 bucks on Amazon.com so the "doctor" is really ripping people off as well to the tune of about 13 bucks a box - if you were considering taking the substance - which I highly discourage people to do.  I ran into someone else at the farmer's market who said they took it - and it caused their heart to race and their blood pressure to skyrocket.  So - I am not the only one.

Looking at his online credentials - it appears he isn't a real doctor because he doesn't even have a PHD - only a bachelors degree from an average university in China.
