Starting 5 years a go, Mr. Deal (the former owner of Drakan Systems), has been dragging his heels on repairs. I brought 2 gaming systems to him for repair (a Playstation 3 and an Xbox 360), he guaranteed the repairs, then when I got them back, they started having the same issues I brought them to him for within a week or 2 of getting them back.

 

I brought both systems back to him well within the warrantee. Since then, he has closed the shop (about 2 years ago), and has kept promising he'd finish the repairs and return them to me. Then stated that he couldn't find the parts to repair the Playstation 3, so would find me a replacement system at discount.

 

Now, as of a little over a year ago, Mr. Deal returned my Xbox 360, wanting even more money (said repair would be additional $50, but out of the blue wanted another 100 and didn't tell me until returned the system), but it still wasn't fixed. Since then, I have repeatedly attempted to get in touch with him, through emails, phone calls, even messaging him on facebook to no avail.

 

For the last year and 2 months he has refused to return my phone calls or emails, and I've already payed him almost $200 for the repairs. Though I have lost contact with them, I know that there were at least 2 other people that while I was trying to get ahold of him before he closed his shop, that were having similar issues.

 

During the time his shop was open, his phone became disconnected, and I'd have to spend months sitting outside his shop waiting for him to return, as he hadn't given me his new number, and I encountered others trying to get their property back/get in touch with him. He repeatedly went out of town "on business," not responding for anywhere from 3-8 months or longer.

Basically, I'm updating on my actions. I have finally reached the end of my patience. Mr. Deal still refuses to answer/return my phones and emaila, or so much as return my property. I have given him well over a year to get back to me, almost 5 years to return my repairs and money since he finishefd the repairs.  I have now contacted the District Attorney of Tulsa, OK about filing criminal charges against him. Not only is he ripping people off by taking money for repairs and guarenteeing the repairs but never actually fixing repairs if they still have the same issues, but at this point refusing to return my property or even return my voice/emails is officially bordering on the felonies of fraud and theft.

 

I sincerely hope anyone that thinks about hiring James Deal, either to do private repairs or to hire on as a companies tech guy or whatever, sees this report. The man can't be counted on to actually do or even finish repairs, and heaven forbid he has to take your repairs off site, because you'll be lucky if you ever get them back.
