I read the testimonials on the website and like a fool I believed them.  I bought Ranger for 6900.00 dollars.  Jennifer said that these horses never have problems.  I couldn't ride the horse right away as he arrived skinny and had a bad cough and cold.  Also the weather was very, very cold and the holidays were here.

However, my trainer came and rode the horse.  He has a good mind, but he was in a bit that was far too advanced for him.  He needed a snaffle.  He knows no ground work.  His shoes had been on him for a very long time.  He does not respond to any leg cues.  He is mellow so I'm sure that's why they advertised him as a good horse for a beginner and very forgiving.

My 8 year old mustang is much better trained and sensitive.  Now I am stuck with an expensive horse who I will have to begin at the beginning with.  I feel totally ripped off and it is my fault.  I should have read more about these people.

Buyer beware

Ranger is a very good horse!

I was wrong for being too quick to say what I did, and I apologize to Jenn and her husband.  I am impulsive, however, after a long cold winter we are now riding Ranger and working with him, and he is a fantastic horse.  He is very calm, loves people, works hard, tries to please, and is so smooth and wonderful to ride.  Please Jenn, accept my apology.  He is a hard working wonderful, safe horse.  He has a forever home here...Mary Lou

I am very impulsive!  I took my new horse Ranger out today on a trail ride with another horse.  He was very good.  I guess that he is advertised for beginners because all he really knows how to do is plow rein.  He doesn't know the leg cues, etc.  He does have a very good "whoa".  So I would have to rebut my first statements..apologize to Jenn and just say that it is a good thing to go ride a horse before you buy it.  However, I don't believe that Ranger is dangerous, just not finished.

I also need to add that I took his shoes off when he arrived, and have been riding him barefoot.  He has very good feet my farrier said.
