Duplitron and Allister claim to be "wholely owned by a major manufacturer" In fact that operate 10 tiny offices spread out without strategy in various states. The employees are paid by Duplitron and Allister, don't have Kyocera's benefits or any other relationship to the main corporation.

They are in fact a rag tag string of 10 dealerships that claim they can service Nationwide- they can't they has to be outsourced to the local dealer.

The sales people are untrained, unknowledgeable and only care about the sale. They take forever to send buyout check and good luck getting service within 2 days. The combined companies have been losing money for years and in fact last year as  a company made less than a working middle class pereson.

Bodegas and hot stands make more money. Since they are in the red- the customer suffers. Machines are sold as new are not always new. Their"IT" Department doesn't know their backsides from a server.

I can give you horror stories galore, but they are known for giving kickbacks to customers(which is illegal-especially when it is a non profit or school or government agency.

The Japanese from HQs is there all the time watching over the insanity. It's only a matter of time before they are closed. That is why the founder of the company Rick Hassler divorced himself of Duplitron NJ.

Steer as far away as possible from Duplitron Allister Kyocera and Copystar- go to a REAL maufacturer like  Shap.Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Canon USA, Ricoh Direct or even Toshiba-even Lexmark has a better product.

Don't claim when you get screwed- you were alerted. For those who want specific horror stories and screwed customers comment on this post and I will provide names

I've been in this industry for a long time. And my family has been in this industry since these companies have been selling typewriters to secretaries.

My Family even knows to founder of Duplitron and many other Dealership owners around the country. Duplitron is one of the last large dealerships which is technically owned by Kyocera, but from what I understand, the old Duplitron owner is still acting GM of the company. So although they are owned, they still act marginally autonomous. This actually gives both parties leverage. Duplitron can get better pricing than Manufacturing companies, and at the same time not have to cut through corporate Red Tape like I've seen working for Manufacturers like Konica Minolta.

What I'm seeing, is two slighted employees trying to spread lies because they weren't doing their job. And it happens with every company. I can tell you stories. And just like EVERY office equipment company in the world, there will be some clients that will completely get the raw deal on service, and some that get the sweetheart deal. The Teachers College in Manhatten amost gets completely free production equipment. I've been in that location and it's at least $1million in equipment they have. But it's a deal they were able to strike with KMBS....Xerox does something like $5 million in Advertising with News Corporation, so News Corporation (FOX) only does business with Xerox. Canon and Ricoh Buy their clients with advertising as well. It's industry wide. And if you stick around long enough, you will see every dirty trick in the book. But those people eventually get found out and fired. That's just how the industry works.

And it used to bother me, until I realized that being the honest guy, in a sea of Sales Sharks, pays off. It's the clients fault if they don't care and they say stupid things like "I just want to press print, and the machine prints"....Well, if you don't care to realize what you are getting into, then you deserve every bad experience you get. Because Liars will say whatever you want to hear for a sale.....Clients need to realize it's a 3-5 year investment. Would you marry a random person knowing that you're stuck with them for 3-5 years? I would hope not....But maybe that's why the divorce rate is around 50%. I can't speak to that....anyway, I digress.

Every organization has it's problems. But they get figured out, or they go out of business. And this company is no where near out of business. In fact, I happen to know from an outside source that they plan on opening another office, which takes a lot of money to do.

Final Summation. I see 2 former employees summarily fired. And they are trying to exact revenge in the worst way they feel that they can
