Subject: Rebuttal To the staff @ Rip-off Report: We would like to take this opportunity to vigorously defend our company's impeccable reputation we have earned over the past 19 years, as well as Mr. Jonathan's totally erroneous claim against us. Our shop maintains the highest degree of integrity and commitment to exceeding our customers' expectations. Mr. Jonathan's original repair was completed to his satisfaction October of 2000. He returned his vehicle to our shop a few months later, claiming he was having trouble with his transmission. Upon a thorough visual inspection of his vehicle, our technicians reported that Mr. Jonathan or (someone else driving his vehicle), had ran over something in the roadway, crashed the vehicle, or bottomed out on something. The impact was serious enough to puncture a hole all the way through the transmission oil pan allowing the transmission fluid to leak out, thus causing components inside the transmission to overheat and eventually fail. We politely and professionally attempted to explain to Mr. Jonathan that this type of damage was not covered under our warranty. We are proud of our numerous customers' comments on the treatment they experienced during their transactions at our facility. This includes customers that have required warranty service on their vehicles. We stand behind our product & workmanship! We documented the above described condition of Mr. Jonathan's vehicle (transmission) with various photographs taken from a 35 mm camera. This may possibly explain why we never heard back from Mr. Jonathan after this return visit. (This could explain why Mr. Jonathan took over 1 year to file this "claim" against our company.) Our warranty certificate we provide each customer fully explains the terms and conditions of the warranty we offer on transmission repair. Our warranty always covers all parts & labor. However, damage, to a transmission that we repaired, that is a result from abuse, neglect, etc., are not covered. Sincerely, The Staff of Eagle Transmission
