East Coast Ad - EFX

Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I applied for a job with this company when a newspaper ad claimed I could make $14-18 an hour. The ad also said there would be two weeks of paid training. I called the number and was set up for an interview the following Monday.

The receptionist was very kind, but the office was playing this really loud, aggressive music that seemed inappropriate. During my interview the boss told me that I would be making presentations to local business owners and trying to convince them to carry the company's line of women's beauty products. I liked the concept and was told to come back the next day for a day of observation.

The next day I was paired with a sales girl who broke into office buildings, bothered women while they were working and managed to get the both of us thrown out of a deli and a home depot in a two hour period. Who gets thrown out of a home depot?!? There were no presenations, unless you consider selling salon packages on the street to be presenations.

I was uneasy about the whole thing, but I agreed to try it for one day - this was a mistake on my part because I should have cut my losses and went home. The next day I was dropped off to make sales. The majority of businessowners told me to go away, not because I was a salesperson, but because someone had sold them the spa packages as recently as the day before! How is someone supposed to make money in a commission-only job when all of the businesses in his territory have been covered?

I lost $40 in the three days that I traveled to and from this company. It's completely bogus - their sales girls are either part of the scam and making money from it or are being used as cheap labor without knowing it.

You don't honestly believe that people believe in your scam, do you? I'm familiar with your company's criminal history both here in the United States and in Canado - the reason why you guys came to America in the first place is that your own government is smart enough to regulate businesses who use deceptive practices on employees and consumers. I'm not exactly where you're going to go if the U.S. is ever smart enough to do the same - Maybe Belize, or perhaps El Salvadore? Putting a new employee on the street to sell salon packages is NOT part of training a person. Also, going to college campuses and scamming students into buying a package that does not deliver any of what is promises is NOT a legitimate business practice - it's a scam, kind of like yourself. By the way, how is that lawsuit going with the University of Toronto? Maybe you and I can visit the campus sometime and find out - oh, that's right, you and anyone affiliated with your company are BANNED from that campus because you lied to its students! The average sales rep makes $800 a week? No, I don't think that's true. But I do think that the people running this scam are making quite a bundle. Maybe if you had any mental stamina and determination, you could have found a real job and put in some real effort into making it work instead of lying to people and scamming people for a living. I have a real job now, a job where the people don't quit after the first day because they know it's real and legitimate. I will leave on this final note: JUICE JUICE JUICE JUICE JUICE JUICE JUICE YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT JUICE YEAH GO FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Kevin, let me get this straight. You worked for adefx for exactly one day? And these are the conclusions you've drawn? The average rep in this company makes 800 per week in the entry level Kevin, after they've recieved the two weeks of training that it takes to learn the entry level. not the one or two hours you took a crack at it. In fact i purposefully work heavily marketed areas because the people that have seen it and don't wish to buy don't waste any of your time. you would understand that this is a good thing if you actually had the mental strength and stamina to stick it out for more than a day Kevin.
