East West Health Professionals Tamera Pollack Bad Acupuncture, Caused Infection, Consumer Beware Englewood Colorado
I went to East West Health Professionals in Englewood Colorado to get acupuncture. I was seen by Tamera Pollack on June 22, 2016 and on July 1, 2016. I purchased a package deal which was four acupuncture appointments for $300.00 I told her that I was in an accident and had a neck and back injury. On my first visit she let her pet dogs in the same room acupuncture is given to patients. There was a few tiny bugs on the sheet of the acupuncture table. The sheet was moved and soon after I found out that I had head lice. I never had head lice and did not really go anywhere lately, so I believe that I contractd head lice from the acupuncture table. The fisrt appointment was so-so. I did not know I had head lice until July 2, 2016.
I then returned for acupuncture on July 1, 2016 and again was seen by Tamera Pollack. No rubbing alcohol was used to wipe down the places on my body that had acupunctre. Tamera Pollack used very long and wide needles that were painful even though I told her that I had a previous accident, on my neck, back, and shoulders and hooked me up to electrodes. I told her that i was in pain and she left me for thirty minutes or more and did not check on me. I was scared to more and called for someone and no one came. I was afraid to take the needles out myself and really could not because it was my back area. I now have an infection and I am on antibiotics for the areas the large needles were in my neck, back, and shoulders.
I asked for a refund for the July 1, appointment. I asked for a refund for two prepaid appointments that I will not use because I will never go back. I asked for my medical records. I asked for help with paying costs for the infection and head lice. Tamera Pollack has not responded to my emails or phone calls.
It was patient abuse that I suffered. I continue to suffer with an infection and head lice
