I enrolled ina Web DEsign course at Eastfield College. I found that in the last class 23 students had started the course and only 3 had completed it. This was not to be a credit class, according to the literature. This was to be only for self improvement. I am a senior citizen. Because I continue to work I did not want the stress of trying to compete for a credit class. However, after I enrolled I found that this was an extremely competitive course.

All of the students had already created a Web page on the internet. The instructor only taught to their level. I was humiliated, berated, made fun of by this instrudtor as I had not taken her Operatings system class. I took two previous course from this instructor, Microsoft Word i and Word.

I completed the requirements. But, this instructor humiliated me because I did not have her operatings system class. In Web Design she would not help me. She would not give me a chance to improve my Web page. I have a Web page now. I completed all the assignments on time. I did all of the work. I was simply humiliated and she refused to give me a certificate of completion. Every continuing education course I have ever taken give a cetrtificate.

I am not a jobcorp person. I am not looking for employment in Webdesign. I wanted the course simply as an additive to my online studies. I went there every day for six weeks. I completed all of the assignments. This is a real ripoff. People from the community cannot afford to start a course and then drop it (Especially senior citizens.) When over 20 students drop out, the college gets at least $2,500 and they don't have to teach to anyone. I was not informed that there would be an exam at the end of the class.

This college is simply taking money from the people in the community and then forcing them to drop the course by humiliating them. I was berated. I was abused. This should not be. I want justice.
