In my opinion, As a gamer, I feel the people you need to blame are not the EB employees. For the most part they had about as much information available to them as we as consumers do by researching on the Internet, as I do with everything I buy, before purchasing anything. In fact, Microsoft would be to blame because EB, though they did give information that was wrong more than likely unknowingly. Microsoft themeselves for months, as I read on the internet, stated that they themselves were unsure if the games would be compatible or not. The fact was that they were more than likely going to go with a different graphic card for this new system than the old xbox which would more than likely cause many games not to be playable. I would say this would be microsofts fault and not EB, as EB is not the company that produces the systems. Just my opinion. Flav

When something new comes out I always wait till it has been released for some time before I purchase it. I did not even get an xbox till late 2004 and I will at least a year before I get an xbox 360. When something new comes out and you straggle around waiting in line for 3 hours and getting it first is only going to cause heartache and a bunch of money. Even when I was a kid I didn't want new stuff right away. And before I buy anything I research it first. To buy something without knowing what you are buying is noones fault but your own. And never assume anything. Even when a new movie comes out I don't go and see till it has been in the theatres awhile. I don't have to show up 2 hours before it starts and hope I get in. When you wait you can show up 30 minutes before it starts and know you'll get in and the movie is the same 2 weeks after then the first day so it is not like your missing anything. So my advice to you. Wait till it has been out for awhile. Don't piss your money away to be a tester. As time goes on they work out all the bugs and clean up all the garbage and the price also goes down. So hopefully you learn from this and let these words sink in "good things come to those who wait"

One there was never a Xbox Live downland that game within the box. 2 the Manger told me Every Game would be ok on the 360( That is false which is a start to comp). 3. Why should i have to take a loss in terms of money when EB Games was clearlay at fault. I understand some game games may be ok but not older games that were many years ago. 3. THE DM in the backround saying to that store How great they where. You can tell they where not happy. All the reasons why comp. should be given. Lets also not forget when I went over the DM I had a Attorney at Law calling me at work in Metting's saying that I am slandering them and I get nothing. What Kind of Compnay is this? I am still working on this. It is clear that this Attorney know's nothing about NJ Criminal Code of Justice(2-c). As slander is given my this. Giving Bad info for No reason. I have not and will not shop at any EB Games ever agian. My whole xmas was runied by them and those at the comapny see nothing wrong with what they did.

At the Xbox 360 release, it was actually rather unclear what original Xbox games would and would not be backwards compatible. The manager who told you should have informed you that not EVERY Xbox game would play on the 360, but many would. (About 220 are now able to be played, there is a list posted on xbox.com.) He may genuinely not have known how the backwards compatibility works, as the information on it from Microsoft changed several times before the system's release. If you have a 360 Premium pack (the one that included the hard drive), it should have included a one-month trial for Xbox Live, as the DM you spoke to indicated. Xbox Live will allow you to download patches for particular original Xbox games you want to play (as long as they are on the compatibility list). If you don't have Xbox Live, you can request an update disc from Microsoft or you can download the updates onto a CD-ROM and load them onto your 360 that way. Microsoft has said that EVENTUALLY all original Xbox games will be playable on the 360, but it will take some time. I'm not really clear on exactly what you wanted EB Games to do for you, since the Xbox games you received did not come from their stores. I know that in my store, we did allow several customers to return opened Xbox games upon discovering they were not compatible with the Xbox 360, as long as the games were still in NEW condition, but you can't honestly expect EB Games to somehow compensate you for games that they didn't sell to you. My best solution for you would either be to trade the games in for whatever store credit you can get, and either buy some Xbox games that you know are compatible, or just buy some Xbox 360 games, or just sell the games on eBay.
