Buyer BEWARE: I purchased a 9 week old female rottweiler puppy from El Jefe Rottweilers. A few weeks later Angela, flew the puppy from Washington to Colorado. I received an adorable puppy in her crate and attched on top of the crate was taped her AKC papers, but no contract was inclosed in the packet. After a few days, maybe a week I noticed that she was growling at us when ever we picked her up and put her back down. I called Angela immediately and she told me to take her to my veterinarian, which I did right away. My vet did a full work up on her which entailed xrays and she showed me the xrays and told me that the puppy had the worst hip dysplasia that my veterinarian had ever seen in a puppy. I called Angela (El Jefe Rottweilers) as I was in the vet's office. My veterinarian talked to Angela on the phone and explained to her why the puppy's distemper was so aggressive. Angela asked my veterinarian to email her a copy of the xrays which she gladly did so. Angela offered to replace the puppy with another puppy from a different litter and informed me that I would have to pay for shipping, which I did so. Angela knew that I wanted a female so I could eventually breed, so she flew me another female puppy that she picked out and informed me that it was the best female out of the litter.
When I received the replacement female puppy at the airport there was no paperwork attached to the top of her crate. I again contacted Angela (El Jefe Rottweilers) when I was at the airport and inquired about the AKC papers and the contract for the replacement puppy. She stated to me that she forgot them and would mail me the paperwork and the new contract. Approximately a week later, I received a packet from El Jefe Rottweilers and all that was entailed in the packet was the puppy's AKC papers. Again no contract was included. I had taken the replacement puppy to the vet for her shots and everything seemed to be great health wise with the new puppy. I kept in contact with Angela about both of the puppies due to aggression issue's with the first female that I received from them.
Time went by and in order for me to eventually breed the replacement female puppy, I have to get her hip and elbows ofa certified at 24 months of age. I had contacted Angela (El Jefe Rottweilers) and again inquiring about a contract incase she didn't pass her ofa certification. Angela seemed upset and reluctantly sent me via email a contact. In the contract it states "Replacement Puppy: $ plus shipping of $0" . So I again contacted Angela and asked her why did I have to pay for shipping the replacement puppy when her contract clearly states shipping of $0. I strongly recommend that if you do purchase a puppy from El Jefe Rottweilers that you make sure that everything is correct and you get a contract and visually see where the puppy comes from and the environment that they are raised in. I will Never recommend this breeder (puppy mill) to anyone. Please please beware!! I spent over $2,500 on this puppy and El Jefe Rottweilers won't even reimburse me for the shipping that I was not supposed to have paid. I have tried to compromise with them and now Angela is just blaspheming me.
